Sainsbury's CEO Simon Roberts total pay for 2022/23 was £4.9m.
On a 40 hour week, that's over £2k/hour.
His lowest-paid workers earn just £11/hour.
I asked how on earth that's justifiable, especially during a cost of living crisis.
The silence was deafening.

@BootsHelp had my delivery arrive on Tuesday and my concealer arrived with the lid off and on my other items. Not packed very well and now not hygienic for me to use! Not very happy ☹️
If you're an MP who's had a 32% pay rise since 2010, and have your meals subsidised by the taxpayer, you're in no position to lecture a nurse who, since 2010, earns £5,000 less in real-terms about pay restraint. There's plenty of money; it's just going to the wrong places.
It’s not just Nadhim Zahawi.
£570,000,000,000 is held by Britain’s super-rich in offshore tax havens.
£18,500,000,000 is lost in tax every year through these schemes.
£3,200,000,000 is avoided yearly by non-doms like the PM’s wife.
It’s time to end the scam.

We don't need a single penny of cuts. On the BBC I explained in just 20 seconds how we can raise taxes on the richest instead. Austerity is a political choice.
@1Judilove@Channel4 @All4 I had to watch this on catch because it was on too late for me at 11.05. This should have been broadcast for prime time viewing not passed to the late night slot. Another battle for another day. Thank you for this powerful and empowering gift Judi ❤️
Farmers have positioned their tractors to form a guard of honour for the late Queen Elizabeth II as she passes through Aberdeenshire on her way to Edinburgh.
Dear @trussliz / @RishiSunak the cost of living crisis has left millions worried how they'll make ends meet.
I'd like to formally invite you, as the new PM, to join me asap once you take office for a special hour's @itvMLshow discussion/Q&A to answer/ease people's concerns.

In May govt announced decent help based on predicted 42% rise in the Oct to Apr energy price cap (that'd take a typical bill to £2,800)
Now the rise for that period's likely to be 126% (£4,460 for a typical bill)
Pls read why & my plea to the new PM
