Only 11,699.5 years longer than the oldest houseplant I've ever kept alive.
One of Earth's oldest plants sits in the Calif. desert, and no one cares https://t.co/M3Q8jYkWRv via @SFGate
@JmScar8 @RetroAgent12 @NoToNaziJoe It’s not what happened - Biden abided by the court orders on the blanket forgiveness but nothing in those orders or cases affected the sec. of education’s authority to forgive other loans in specific situations.
@FunkyBeaches@TheAtlantic@JeffreyGoldberg@shaneharris The Director of National Intelligence testifying under oath that “there was no classified material that was shared in that Signal chat” would seem to be a pretty good defense.
Tim Miller: "There was a covert CIA operative named in the thread, right?"
Jeffrey Goldberg: "Yes, and I withheld her name... I didn't put it in the story because she's under cover. But, I mean, the CIA Director put it into the chat."
@Freddy928619112@danielsgoldman What’s the lie? Here’s a link to the 17 amended reports Leavitt’s campaign filed on January 23rd: https://t.co/6WRY5v3Niy
@neal_katyal Not to sound old, but did they not learn to Shepardize cases before they cite them? You know, that thing they teach you in your first semester legal writing class?
@Strike4Earth@brownandbella Your vote isn’t some precious gift you bestow or withhold based on the purity of a candidate’s spirit. In a two-party system - like it or not - not voting for the lesser of two evils is voting for the greater evil.
1/ One of President Trump’s first acts was to pardon those convicted in connection with January 6th.
Here are some of the convicted felons he set free:
@TeXan4TrumP77@JudiciaryDems NY (19.8 m) & CA (39.1 m) together constitute 17.5% of the US population (335.9 m) and about 40% of both states vote Republican, so no.
@MysBakc@OldManLefty1 From the pardon order itself. Hopefully this link will work but if not just google Vietnam draft evader pardon: https://t.co/bGods7PhT6 -
@MysBakc@OldManLefty1 That’s not even remotely true. To cite only the most obvious examples, see Ford’s pardon of Nixon and Carter’s pardon of Vietnam draft evaders, which specifically covered “all persons who may have committed any offense” covered by the pardon and those who had been convicted.
@NicholasGKalkas@JudiciaryDems@SenatorDurbin The Republicans in charge of the Senate confirmed 55 Trump nominees, including 18 judges, during the lame duck session after Trump lost in 2020.
