if we don’t all, as a society, start asking people blasting music on their phone to put their earbuds in when they’re in public spaces human civilization is not going to make it
I don't see this future many people predict. Imagine finding and ordering some sushi on Doordash, by talking to your computer?
For many tasks, UIs are way more efficient than language.
We are officially entering the @premierleague 🎉
Proud to announce Deel is the Official HR Platform Partner of @Arsenal ⚽
This is our first major move into sports. Thrilled to welcome Arsenal as a @deel customer to power their workforce operations.
Let's go 🔴⚪
Deel has raised $300M at a $17.3B valuation
We started about 6 years ago, struggling to even make $10K.
I've never shared this before because of how embarrassing our start was.
The story of how we went from $1K to $1B and the advice I'd give to my younger self:
Boom is low-key famous for pre-orders and LOIs. The most common question I get from founders is: how did we do this? So I wrote up what I've learned and why I think pre-orders are critical for hard-tech.
Thanks to @celinehalioua and @snowmaker for reviewing drafts of this post.

The most important graphs in public health have been going the wrong way for decades: obesity, hormone levels, anxiety/depression, and now life expectancy. It would be exciting to have someone like @RobertKennedyJr at HHS with an outside the matrix view to turn these graphs around.
BREAKING: President Trump just announced that he will order the release of all JFK files.
"It's all going to be released."
THIS IS A GAME CHANGER. The truth will be shocking.
@MarkLutter@JeffJMason@palladiummag I've lived in the presidio, and there are parts that could be made more dense, without sacrificing the whole park, yes. But 2.67 square miles is tiny for a city. That's a village. I want 10 new massive new cities that re-think what a city should look like. Electric cars etc.
@MarkLutter@JeffJMason@palladiummag i agree with the need for competition. But the potential value of that competition coming at the cost of a sacred part of SF isn't the right trade-off. I have to imagine there is other land that can achieve the same goals without reducing the quality of life in SF even further.
@JeffJMason@MarkLutter@palladiummag putting anything within SF proper would expose it too much to SF politics, which is possibly the worst run city in the country. Cities also need public spaces, and creating a city at the cost of arguably the nicest public space in SF creates a new city by ruining another.
@growing_daniel if these apps brought Chinese culture like respecting elders, strong work ethic etc., instead of being Chinese apps that magnify the worst aspects of American culture we’d probably be all for it better tbh
NEW: Parents of OpenAI whistleblower hire private investigator after their son allegedly took his own life, suggest their son was killed.
The parents of 26-year-old Suchir Balaji say their son had plans to see them in January, claim there were "signs of a fight."
"I was the last person to talk to him. He was happy more, not depressed or anything. And it was his birthday week," said his father Balagi Ramamurthy.
"He made plans to see us in January. That was the last phone conversation he had with anyone. He went into his apartment and never came out. How can anyone believe that there was no note left?" his mother said.
"And there was nobody else on the scene, that doesn't mean they can just come to conclusion. And we have seen the blood shots in the bathroom, signs of a fight in the bathroom."
The tragedy in San Francisco happened three months after Balaji accused OpenAI of violating copyright law in their development of ChatGPT.
