Bingo! Suddenly a swarm of fake brand new accounts outside of California with zero followers started following me and they are the only ones posting anything positive with respect to @GavinNewsom
It is obvious that he and his campaign are paying for professional trolls, real, and AI.
Our friend @grannybot2 has an upcoming medical procedure. She is grateful for the donations thus far, but is far from her needed goal. Please share, support, or donate—every small action counts! https://t.co/Irdx6a7lwn
Slipping under the radar of news and events, Independent Contracting is finally getting the spotlight it deserves. My latest @IWF blog.

Today, Chair @SenBillCassidy released proposals to empower independent workers to access portable workplace benefits like retirement and health care. Read the full white paper here:

In honor of the start of Lori Chavez-DeRemer's confirmation hearings, we re-upped @asthegirlturns' excellent piece from November. #FightForFreelancers
OPINION: Labor Sec Nominee Chavez-DeRemer Is a Trojan Horse to Complete the Union Takeover of DOL https://t.co/JbG1EjnIbX
"Barring a major scandal or mess-up, Lori Chavez-DeRemer will no doubt be confirmed. But a no-longer-silent independent majority will continue to hold her — and Congress' — feet to the fire."
Q's for the DOL nominee: You were the only Republican on @EdWorkforceCmte to vote against the Small Businesses Before Bureaucrats Act...protecting small businesses from overreach. Do you still believe that the NLRB should have greater jurisdiction to target small businesses?
This is notable because for years now, the National Association of Realtors has lobbied for state and federal legislation that will allow real-estate agents to remain independent contractors.
Per NAR, 87% of its members are classified as ICs.
“Do you still support the ABC test, or will you commit to support the Trump administration’s 2021 independent contractor rule which protected the rights of workers to declare themselves as independent contractors?”
Looking forward to a hearing that provides clarity on Lori Chavez DeRemer's stance on independent workers. Our @USDOL needs to protect the livelihoods of independent business owners and freelancers across the country. @GOPHELP

New from me:
At this week's confirmation hearing for U.S. Labor Secretary nominee Lori Chavez-DeRemer, senators should ask these six questions about independent contractors.

@Gailrgordon2 I would say that California ICs need to get loud again, especially with the numbers showing that #AB5 did nothing for W-2 or union membership. If the state is going to turn around, they need to stop the bleeding, and repealing AB5 is one way to do that.
“It is excellent news that the United States Department of Labor under President Donald J. Trump plans to roll back the Biden Independent Contractor final rule. Independent professionals, small businesses, and franchisers had great hope with the election of President Trump that he would soon address the regulatory overreach imposed by the last administration against the 64 million who contribute to the engines of the economy, and who only wish to work independently as we choose. We are thankful to President Trump that our hopes have not been dashed, and our voices have been heard.”
