Saab has released the first public footage of a new Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) concept, identified as “A3-01.”

The unmanned fighter concept features a delta wing and low-observable shaping, and is designed to operate alongside crewed combat aircraft.

Saab has not disclosed the aircraft’s name, technical specifications, customer, funding or development timeline. It also remains unclear whether A3-01 represents an early design study, a planned demonstrator or a concept for a future program.

The aircraft may be connected to an October contract from Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for Saab to study future manned and unmanned fighter systems, with demonstrator flights reportedly planned through 2027.
