I’ve long maintained that the Sokoto caliphate is behind the Fulani killings in Nigeria. Interestingly, the US committee that was pondering the CPC designation suggested the investigation of Sultan & the caliphate regarding these killings. Senator Shehu here was the chairman of the senate committee on security. His counterpart, the former governor whose successor fingered as a terrorist sponsor is the minister of state for defence

These guys are not mere criminals bribing soldiers to look away, they’re at the pinnacle of Nigeria’s defence infrastructure. When we say that this genocide is state-backed, we’re not mincing words. We’re not saying that the state is complacent, we’re not even saying they’re complicit because that diminishes their involvement, we’re saying the Nigerian government is responsible for the mass killings and displacement of its citizens.

It partly explains why most Arewa media outlets have remained silent on this heavy accusations against the Senator.

This same man had same allegations in 2024, and a whole Supreme Council For Shariah released a press release on his behalf.

Do you understand that Shariah requires basis for taking any stance, and they gave a press statement in his favour, even saying other politicians are using Machiavellian tactics.

After listening to the current HNO of WAEC this evening, I am deeply concerned about his incompetence, arrogance and apparent lack of empathy. I do not believe someone with this attitude should head such an important academic institution.

Babcock University High School reportedly told him that out of 199 students who sat this year’s WAEC, only 22 passed both English and Mathematics, something they say has never happened in 25 years.

Instead of treating such an extraordinary outcome as something worth investigating, he allegedly laughed it off, dismissed faith-based schools and suggested that perhaps they had been committing examination malpractice in previous years.

The court will resolve this soon.
