Incredibly disappointing that despite these lions infected and the knowledge that tigers can contract the virus that people here in west Nepal, many of them guides, still venturing into the jungle for "hero" photographs. Ego has no boundaries.

Years of continued intelligence led ground efforts by Wildlife Crime Control Bureau of CIB paid off as it makes an arrest of Interpol's most wanted transnational ringleader of wildlife smuggling racket, Kunjok Lama, early this week. A big step towards deterring wildlife crime.

A part of me wishes these things weren't made public for #tiger safety reasons but it is what it is. Not first time a tiger has been camera trapped in that district and it may have crossed from Uttarakhand in India, that State also has high altitude tigers. Understanding needed.
