@DanielBatie1979@Schlappohr777@simongerman600 Because that's the reason the Mercator projection was originally chosen. It preserves a constant compass bearing.
You are correct though that most electronic routes are now done through computers (GPS). Good luck trying to hand plan a route without a mercator map though.
@MarshPlaza@simongerman600@WorldInMaps Russia invaded another country that is also in Eurovision. That causes a lot of non-political issues that will most likely occur there.
Israel is fighting people and countries who are not part of Eurovision. Banning Israel would be a purely political statement.
@PeakTis@godendahl@Sportsnet Dort has a reputation of being a dirty player. That's why the refs reasonably speculated on his intent. A repeat offender usually gets harsher calls.
@q_7777000@ShaykhSulaiman The video said that the bomb was "too complex for a small terrorist organization". For a country like Iran though, it probably wouldn't be much of a stretch. X only allows short answers though so I ran out of words to explain.
@JogadordePlay69@krassilverfang@silver_unital This translation is wrong. The "beat" should be "strike" and even that is a questionable translation. The most likely correct translation is "legally separate" from them. Do some research on Quran 4:34 if you're interested to learn more.
@Turbo_737@silver_unital Do you listen to music without worry of legal repercussions? If Sharia Law were enforced then you could get arrested or at least fined. The argument is not that we should prevent people from following Islam, it's that we should prevent Islam from taking over the law.
@Maxpainfb@2ndguyplaying@silver_unital We don't argue that that stuff should become law though. Arguing for Sharia Law is arguing that this stuff should become law. The other religions might argue specific points, but don't argue that everything in their religious texts should become law.
@wendydjaco62714@Pablo24441@its_venka@JoeyMannarino I'm sure some of that was truly destruction of religion, but Hamas is trying to unite the people against Israel. A successful tactic is to store weapons inside of the population's churches so that when Israel blows them up, you can say that they're attacking your religion.
@Hollenkamp56890 @hodgetwins There's a picture of the perpetrator directly in the middle. If someone can't tell that that guy is black by looking at that picture, then they're not smart enough to understand even if the headline was different.
@GueritoCHV@SmugAlana It doesn't need to be 100% identical, but it should follow the same world rules and laws of the book/game. That's what people have an issue with, when they change the inherent rules of the world and break immersion by showing or doing things non-congruent with the world building.
@ylem516@BrianMay100@BGatesIsaPyscho I'm not saying that it's bad or good, just that the statement that "no muslim states are taking in refugees" is wrong. Pretty much if they're not making refugees they're taking them in.
@BrianMay100@BGatesIsaPyscho This is incorrect. Many Arab countries do have very big refugee populations from surrounding countries. Specifically look at Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey and you'll see that that is wrong. Maybe you're referring to just the Gulf States which don't officially take any refugees?
@Fren_FAST2@uncledoomer Tickets to the top costs $50-$100 USD (depending on how high you want to go). Then there's the cost of flights, hotel, etc. Going to the Burj Khalifa will be way more expensive for you as a consumer. The cost is directly related to how many customers, so not a good comparison.
@BowTiedRanger The House and Senate should have term limits. She has represented Connecticut's 3rd congressional district in the House since 1991! No one should hold political power for that long.
@arrnottolssen@DOGE_Observer@GeneralMCNews People traveling don't need to use the department of housing and Urban Development's website. If they do then they're illegally staying here instead of just traveling.
@CurioBullion@RobertTreta Even if you use crypto, gold, silver, etc to pay for the car you still need to register it at the DMV. When you go to register, they're going to look if you paid tax and will not register your car unless you did. Either you drive around in an unregistered car or you pay the tax.
@Malignant_Minx@twistedmimo@BoLoudon I just want to respond to number 2 real quick.
They don't need money. There is something called a lawyer taking a case pro bono. What that means is that the person doesn't pay the lawyer at all. Instead the lawyer will take a percentage of the winnings if there are any.
