@MattAFalk@PodcastDoesnt They are throwing 5-6 innings every start and both are going to be absolute studs. Anderson is ready for the challenge, but would only bring him up if there was an injury. The piggyback is just dumb and while it has “worked” so far that doesn’t make it a sound strategy.
@MattAFalk@PodcastDoesnt Miller needs to be in the rotation and prioritized. Try to trade Castillo, which is unlikely and then move him to the pen, which is a role I think he could be really effective in as a leverage arm. You have Anderson and Sloan as insurance if someone gets injured.
@MattAFalk@PodcastDoesnt The piggyback is just really stupid and I can’t take anyone serious that points to their record or ERA as justification seriously.
@bigwormjerm@MarinerMuse So it has nothing to do with Emerson making his debut and providing a massive upgrade or Miller, Brash and Robles all coming back? It’s all just the piggyback???
@SaltyWalty95@shaneF1984 Servais was really good once he got his feet under him, but Wilson doesn’t hold people accountable and has zero attention to detail, which makes me believe he will never figure it out. Can’t win without those 2 things from a coach/manager.
@shaneF1984@energydelay Wilson needs time to learn how to manage a baseball game and organization. That shouldn’t be happening with a team that has a legit shot to make it to the World Series. He’s awful at everything.
@K9Stocked @AngryMariners Can people please stop saying that the piggyback plan is working? There has been 2 games, the first was a total disaster and a loss and the 2nd one they won and both pitchers are clearly pissed off and created a massive story and distraction and was communicated terribly.
@MHWthee3rd@SKNRGareth@RyanDivish People refuse to believe that the manager that doesn’t even know the rules of baseball is also bad at baseball strategy.
@FunkytownGotcha@DKramer_ Yeah, the ball will get on him faster, so won’t need to rush throws as much, which lead to a ton of throwaways. Might not work, but will definitely be easier for him to play a position that doesn’t require as much range/quickness.
@RefuseToLosePod He lost 3-4 MPH off his fastball after 1 inning. You have to pivot and pull him in the 9th. At least that’s what you would have done if you were trying to win the game.
