1/ We’re so glad to share this new study 💫
Does the brain learn like a Deep Net? 🧠⚙️

2 well known successes are teams from MIT and Meta, one innovation if I recall correctly used mouth movements (AlterEgo) and now Meta's Neural Band which seems to be incredibly accurate in detecting hand movements and executing accordingly
Neurotech was so focused on direct brain recording that it forgot about the nervous system spread out throughout the body
I am seeing a lot of wearable tech success that uses EMG(uses electrical signals from muscles), which seems to provide a lot more performance compared to EEG
"Recurrence affects the geometry of visual representations across the ventral visual stream in the human brain" (Aug. 2025)

There's hasnt been a post in a while which is true but I am building a site for greylattice to move out of substack(Cause SEO is just terrible) which is taking up focus and time
Its built with Astro and Tailwind as the primary components of the stack, thank you for your patience
1/ You might have seen it—DINOv3 is out! 🦖🦕In this thread, we share key insights on our Gram anchoring ⚓︎ and how it helps to get smooth feature maps.

.@Princeton neuroscientists working as part of the globe-spanning team of 22 research groups (@IntlBrainLab) have created the first-ever brain-wide activity map during decision making in mice 🧠
