@Tsahkna I support tourist visa ban and limitation of migration, but people who will suffer the most from these rules are actually those who has family members in both countries. There should be exceptions for these situations. Otherwise it is absolutely chauvinistic.

This is not a mistake, not a coincidence, but a regularity. It's like a law of nature where the complex controls the simple. The interests of the system always dominate over the interests of its elements.

Becoming a collective, we as if delegate our will to it.

Worker bees, ants, and termites have no personal interests; their main task is to sustain the life of queens and royalty.
The interests of the anthill are above the interests of the ant; they will sacrifice their lives to save the rest.

We ourselves do not agree for each cell of our organism to act independently. When this happens, we call it cancer and treat disobedient cells with chemotherapy.

Human immortality contradicts the interests of the population. The state's main requirement for a citizen is to give up their life if necessary.

Precisely because the nature of the state is anti-human, there has never been a time in history when the idea of extending life became state policy.
We live in a situation of disadvantageous equilibrium. When it's not beneficial for anyone to die, but fighting death requires a lot of energy to break the existing system.

Creating a community whose interest is the life extension of each of its members is a necessary condition for radical life extension.

If you do not observe a community or observe weak communities in the field of Longevity, this is a marker that things are going awfully wrong.

You cannot say: people, wake up, you are dying, because our interests are misrepresented. You have to create another system that represents interests correctly.

So, for those still scoffing at the idea of cryonics, you're not just flaunting your ignorance; you're cheering for Team Death. It's like rooting for the iceberg in the Titanic saga. And honestly? That’s a stance that will soon feel outdated. As we look towards the future, being against cryonics will be the equivalent of being that one guy who still believes the internet is “just a fad”. Don't be that guy. Embrace the future, or at least, don’t stand in its way. Because the tide of progress waits for no one.

Our primary mission is clear: making death's justification socially unacceptable. It's high time we bury the archaic practices of burying our loved ones, branding it as the barbarism it truly is.

We must cast a discerning ethical lens on our traditions, pushing cultural norms to evolve. This transformation begins not with force, but with understanding. Our most potent tool in this crusade is conversation. To shift what's considered "normal," we first need to shine a spotlight on it. I have not heard any statement by any respected scientist that it is impossible to defeat aging.

Why transhumanism/immortalism is a rational choice?
If transhumanism/immortalizm will fail - death will reach you anyway. Death doesn't care what is your life philosophy or social/political views. It also doesn't care if you think of it or no.

@ken__maples I think that we currently underestimate the social factor here. Of course the particular successful technologies will be done by small groups of people. But what would be the factor to increase amount of such potential groups ?

They give people optimism which is based on just pure speculative hope, stimulating our millions years old mental mechanisms to not thinking about death and thus not taking any actions to really solve the problem.

I think that hope is important, and positive attitude is useful. But it will only work when strongly based on responsibility and action. This things are number 1 priorities. The easiest way to start is to join one of the communities of like-minded people.
