While I stayed home with the pugs last night, @JSchpakowski was out in the dark capturing photos of the Briggs Creek fire, burning about 11 km away from our little village here in the West Koots. Since it was reported yesterday, the fire has spread to approximately 1500 hectares!

There’s a deep soul connection and love I feel with animals that I don’t really ever feel with other people. Is that weird? Is it rude? Is there something wrong with me? Do I just accept & roll with this? Is it OK to be painfully introverted & only really want to be with animals?
