@BillHeyman@Grady_Booch Insightful.
People are trained starting in grade school that recollection = intelligence, since that's the basis of nearly all testing. Memorize equations, dates, and facts and you'll get good grades.
They're now applying the same lazy evaluation principles to AI.
@slicknet Toolless Cat6 keystones look tempting, but IME they are all finicky and terrible. A 110 impact punch down tool is easily worth it if you're doing more than a handful, or of you are using a patch panel.
@slicknet Installer bit (long flexible drill bit). Drywall hand saw. Stud finder. Ethernet tester. Poly pull line. Fiberglass fish rods can be vital depending on where you need to go. Low voltage retrofit mounting brackets and Keystone wall plates.
@ClintRutkas@danielcw189 @Kluthulhu @SwiftOnSecurity Yes! "Combine" basically NEVER makes sense.
When I have two browser windows open, it's because they're for totally different things. Tabs exist if I want a single icon.
Same applies to Explorer windows, Terminal, among others.
Users don't care about "group by .exe"
@kingstonist Should do what Ottawa does: move the car to another already-plowed street a few blocks away. Can move way more cars in the same time. And so much more fun.
Problem: A PR is too big and contains unrelated changes.
Solution:
1. Prefix the big PR's name with "WIP" so the team knows it's not ready.
2. Open small, focused PRs that contain portions of the big PR.
3. Merge the small PRs. Now the big PR is smaller, and ready to review.👍
@jeffmclaren2022@WayneHill_YGK@SgtKoopman@cityofkingston Have you considered addressing this as a street design problem, as opposed to a driver or signage issue?
Since watching https://t.co/X7Qq27wNCA I can't help but see this problem everywhere. Speeding is almost entirely just the result of bad road design.
Have you ever heard the expression “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”? Well AliExpress is currently advertising a 30 Terabyte SSD for $29. And I just had one delivered. Let’s open it up, shall we? /1
@anjuan Bought literally the exact same machine a month ago, and I agree, it's great. I just use it for coffee and americanos. It's got all the convenience of a pod-machine, but IMHO tastes better than your average coffee shop.
@QualityFrog Glad I'm not the only one! Tip though.. you don't need a whole box for old stuff like VGA! Make a box called "Obsolete" and keep one of each.
Then you can rest easy knowing whichever one you picked is the wrong one
@badams@Making8@azarchick@methode "file" and "folder" are just conventions.
You can build a webserver that uses "$" as a path separator
Or where URL "folder" segments aren't mapped to real filesystem folders (eg: every MVC framework)
Or ignore them completely
This is why Google can't make assumptions
