@ExInspectorBDS@mpfchairman Politically they can’t say they need to reduce numbers…not a good look. But to meet the budget constraints they need to lose officer numbers. Can’t fire enough and can’t make redundant. Older officers are more expensive (top whack around 10 years).
@mpfchairman Rotation is not Tenure. It’s different as it’s a collective time of over ten years away from borough. You could have done 10 years on borough, 15 on TSG (not counted as frontline in this??!!) and then 1 year into a specialism, then to be rotated back.
@ExInspectorBDS@mpfchairman It’s not Tenure; rotation is counting collective time away from response. You could be a year in a specialism after 15 years of TSG (frontline - though not classed as frontline in this) and be rotated back. It’s a management tool to make people resign.
@ATRightMovies Man On Fire he played a likeable buddy to John Creasy….they may have been shady mercenaries in the timeline before the film…a small point
@Perky_43@grahamwettone The new scheme of compulsory ‘rotation’ from specialisms back to boroughs will cause more to consider leaving or transferring too. It seems the Met desperately need to reduce numbers and salary burden without politically saying numbers of officers need to go.
@CharlieFelix Weren’t France a man down with one in the bin? Still not sure it was the right decision, France did look a bit tired and weren’t really competing at the breakdown. With that back row and CCS on I think we could have clung on. Chase was poor though!!
@rugby_ap I don’t think we even need to look at these decisions, the reason France had the ball in the first place was because we kicked it away to them. Ramos is stone cold, probably would have nailed that kick from anywhere in the park.
@rugby_ap Hold on to the ball with minutes left and not box kick possesion away, run the clock down…puzzling decision. I think Chessum was just pleased to get there 😂
@CharlieFelix Not quite sure why England did a caterpillar ruck and then kicked it away at the end??!! Surely hold on to possession for 3 or 4 minutes…run the clock down. France have to be ultra disciplined and win it back. Strange decision.
@EnglandRugby@premrugby@Champrugby@ThePWR@theRPA Rugby in England isn’t all about the national side and the professional teams. There’s a whole root of regional and local teams who need funding and support. Look at the French league system, that’s the benchmark of support, success and sustainability.
@CharlieFelix Ford is brave when taking it to the line, so could prove it was a system/tactics problem rather than how he played (kicking far less than normal too). Pack setup was all wrong too, so no go forward - Ford is not your man in those circumstances.
@glove931 Also…your back line was immense and the defensive game was impressive. England lacked pace, lacked the ability to catch a high ball, the ability to select a 13, had to sub off the captain for the better 2nd row..and tried a drop goal in a phone box.
@IamAustinHealey Scotland great in defence, mindset was just better!! The kicking game was just not working for England…and yet we continued. Laidlaw was spot on, the drop goal that was never on was the real pivot point.
