@JustDeezGuy I think AI that is "good enough" at code that runs very cheaply, and very quickly, will be here before a cost crisis. I think we're already getting fairly close to that point. If we can get Opus 5.5 level at 200+ tps and $1/$2 per million tokens, we're set. Maybe 6 months?
@xikhar I'm currently developing a few games, and trust me, getting 90% of the way there is pretty fast. Getting to 99% takes much longer, and then 99.9% even longer still.
@kr0der If you feel like the usage is unlimited, you're just not trying hard enough :) I can burn through weekly limit in about a day pretty easily. (Opus 5.5 only)
@ah20im Have all the emails already went out? I upgraded from 200 to 500 yesterday and it was draining super fast (up until sometime today), but I haven't received an email about it.
I upgraded as described in the email that seems to be going out, but did so after October 16th when it was supposedly fixed, however, my usage yesterday after upgrading was horrendous and I went through my usage in a few hours. Some of it was my fault due to selecting ultrafast on accident, but not all. It felt worse than the original $200 plan.
@DavidOndrej1 Companies will decide they need 10 devs instead of 100 and then lay off 90 based on whatever they feel like. Trying to survive that situation is just false hope. It's going to be ugly (or uglier) over the next 3-6 months I'd guess.
@Mr_Salio I took their update as in "we think they're coming in the next few weeks, which technically extends past October potentially...so we update our statement."
So to me it sounds like anytime in the new few weeks, not necessarily November.
