King James Bagyenzi noted that during the story structure session led by Eleanor Nabwiso, trainees were highly engaged and pushing themselves creatively, showing effort that wasn't seen in their productions.
He emphasized that a writer’s role is often to prevent a character from getting what they want too soon, as this helps build conflict and keeps the audience interested. While many trainees had good ideas, he encouraged them to develop those ideas further and ensure their stories have a clear plot.

I’m proud to say I’m a Smartphone Filmmaker because that’s all I have used entirely in making these movies.
I’m willing to work with anyone who believes in creativity, While I save slowly for professional gear, I’ll keep moving with my smartphone.

Community screenings play a bigger role than most people realize, especially in growing a local film industry.
First, they build an audience for local content. Many people don’t actively go looking for Ugandan films, so taking films directly to communities helps create interest, appreciation, and demand.
@UCC_Official is doing the industry a great service through The Regional Film Competition (RFC).
