Join us in shaping the future of Villiers Island! In Fall 2023, we're collaborating with the @cityoftoronto & @WaterfrontTO to recommend an updated approach for more housing and affordable rental homes while honouring the community's vision.
@PaulaFletcherTO & I stopped by the future site of Leslie Lookout Park to meet Dani Kastelein-Longlade, the Indigenous artist who created a custom mural for the construction hoarding, which will remain on site until the park opens later this year. Be sure to check it out!
Last week, CreateTO's CEO @guptavic and Councillor @PaulaFletcherTO visited the future Leslie Lookout Park site to meet Indigenous artist & architectural designer Dani Kastelein-Longlade who created a custom mural for the construction hoarding.
I feel so lucky to work alongside an incredible group of female city-builders who are helping build a more livable & inclusive #Toronto. Our workforce and communities are strongest when we #EmbraceEquity. #IWD2023
Today we celebrate the women of #CreateTO and their work towards building a more livable #Toronto through significant #CityBuilding projects across the city. For #IWD2023 and beyond, we'll continue to #EmbraceEquity to foster an inclusive workforce.
#CreateTO & the City are bringing a new park to Toronto's Port Lands.
The Leslie Slip Lookout Park will offer year-round programs including events, concerts & art for residents & tourists alike to enjoy for years to come. I look forward to seeing this project come to fruition.
Conceptual designs of the park include building on the natural and industrial heritage of the area, while honouring Indigenous place-making potential, linking Tommy Thompson Park to recent landscape improvements in the area. #PortLands
Located on the Martin Goodman Trail, Leslie Slip Lookout Park will feature a public beach, distinguished by forested dunes that will create a new multi-use community destination in Toronto’s east end. #CityBuilding
CreateTO and @cityoftoronto are pleased to announce that Claude Cormier + Associés has been awarded the contract to design and construct Leslie Slip Lookout Park, an exciting City-building initiative located in Toronto’s #PortLands. https://t.co/TmVKtXHCzi
In the very week where vaccines in Canada dried up - and didn’t elsewhere - you might ask yourself if this guy has hurt the reputation enjoyed by a fine polling firm. But it would be a rhetorical question. #cdnpoli
Worth a watch at this moment in time. Demonstrating grace and decency and patriotism. He was all class and his voice is sorely missed in today's world.
Congratulations to @mohashim who I went to high school with at Clarkson SS @clarksoncharger! Mohammed, don’t forget that the Canadian Race Relations Foundation Act was proclaimed in 1991 under a @CPC_HQ government ;) Good luck my friend!
Thank you @wesleyjhall for your leadership! I saw no examples of Black corporate leaders talking about systemic racism. So I’m speaking up | The Star https://t.co/GHrZrAL8p6
As Campaign Chair for John Tory 2018 campaign, I’m not speculating on this fed elxn or which poll method is more accurate, but I will share my experience working w/ Nick 1 year ago. Attached is an email Nick sent to us two days before the election. Not surprised he was bang on.
Brief thread on #elxn43:
-one important chance in data for Liberals to secure or come close to a majority: ONTARIO
-there just is a split between phone (EKOS/@VoiceOfFranky, Mainstreet/@pollingcanada, Forum, and @niknanos) and 6-8 online polls (Ipsos, Campaign/@NickKouvalis, etc)
