Best guess: Twitter tried to do something stupid with their API, they messed it up in a way that will take days, so Elon is doing this new “you can only read 600 posts a day” thing as a cover, and he’ll say “after hearing your feedback, we’ve reversed the policy” when it’s fixed.
No student loan relief. End of term. Now let's shut down this show. It's vacation time! Harlan Crow is waiting. His yacht is in the harbor and is ready to depart.
Hurry...
The same court that abolished affirmative action yesterday because it pretends to believe affirmative action allows unconstitutional discrimination based on race is perfectly fine with discrimination based on sexuality.
Discrimination is wrong.
Using religion as an excuse to discriminate is wrong - and unconstitutional.
The Court’s minority is right: the Constitution is no license for a business to discriminate.
Today’s ruling will move America backward.
In 2016, some said it didn't matter who won the race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Now in 2023, we've lost the right to abortion, affirmative action, LGBTQ rights, and student loan debt relief.
Don't listen to those people ever again. Elections have consequences.
Well if nothing else the Supreme Court ruling is gonna humble some white and Asian students when they find out they still didn’t get in to their dream school and it wasn’t the fault of already underrepresented Black applicants.
Obviously, I'm a white person who also didn't have access to those handicaps. But also ending affirmative action does jack shit for non-connected white people. That's just more slots for the well-connected white people.
The idea that white Ivy students are there on "merit" is a joke. Trump is a grad of an Ivy school. (UPenn.)
He is also half-literate and thinks you can bleach people's lungs to cure covid. He got in because he's white and rich. That's not "merit."
The thing about VCs is they have a uniquely idiotic understanding of politics. One interesting question is why they are so much less politically savvy than successful businesspeople in other industries.
