Senior Chief Njiiri wa Karanja's son vacated the Kigumo legislative seat in 1962 so Kenyatta could enter Parliament. The "debt" was recently repaid the government allocated Sh340 million for Kangari market upgrade. Sixty years later.
Chief Muhoho wa Gatheca was father to Mama Ngina Kenyatta's wife. His son George Muhoho became Education Minister, Tourism Minister. Another son, Paul Gathecha, got entangled in the NYS corruption scandal. The family tree grows through scandal and survives.
Senior Chief Koinange wa Mbiyu Kenyatta held secret meetings at his home. His son Charles Karuga Koinange rose to DC, then PC. Died in 2004 leaving a Sh5 billion estate. Another son, Peter Mbiyu Koinange nicknamed "Kissinger" was Minister of State, Kenyatta's confidant. Died 1981 leaving Sh14 billion.
Paramount Chief Josiah Njonjo collaborator, wealthy landowner, friend of Harry Leakey. His son Charles Njonjo rode to primary school on a horse, accompanied by a servant. Became Attorney General.
Chief Michuki wa Kagwi forty-seven wives. His son John Michuki, born 1932 to the forty-fifth wife, died in 2012 leaving a Sh10 billion estate.
Senior Chief Amoth Owira of Alego described as a leading collaborator. His son Cornel Rasanga became Governor of Siaya County. Another son, Dr. Patrick Amoth, is A Director General for Health and Vice President of the WHO Executive Board....And so on
Now Let's Talk About The Other Side
General Baimungi Marete second only to Dedan Kimathi in Meru. Fought the British. Bled for freedom. Was murdered by the Kenyatta government in 1965 after pointing out that promises made to the Mau Mau were not being delivered. His family lives in abject poverty to this day.
Field Marshal Mwariama Musa died owning fifteen acres in Timau, Meru. Fifteen acres. Died of snake poison trying to save a friend. Died like a dog in the country he liberated.
Dedan Kimathi's family abject poverty until Kibaki threw them a bone. The men who fought for uhuru got graves. The men who collaborated got estates.
The colonial state didn't leave. It just changed complexion. Even Lari Massacre Wasn't Just About Land Chief Luka wa Kahangara collaborator. Acquiesced to the moving of Kikuyus from Tigoni to Lari. The resentment ran so deep that in 1953, the Lari Massacre erupted. The British retaliated. Thousands died around Lari.
Paramount Chief Karuri wa Gakure of Muranga fought off a smallpox epidemic in the 1890s. Invited the Consolata Missionaries. Pushed for the establishment of Fort Hall. Was said to practice witchcraft.
The colonialists created a class. A Black elite whose loyalty was bought and paid for. They sent them to England, gave them degrees, gave them connections, gave them legitimacy. And when independence came the keys to the kingdom were handed to the men who had helped build the prison. The chiefs drew power from their association with colonialists. Their children inherited that power. Their grandchildren hold it now.
When you drive past the estates of the Koinanges and the Njonjos and the Nyachae's when you see their children in government, their grandchildren in boardrooms, their names on buildings ask yourself: Who paid for this? Whose blood built this? And why do the descendants of the men who fought for freedom still beg for scraps at the table of the men who sold them?
You and your education are on your own
The end

My favorite thing about “informed consent” is how Zoe Quinn of gamer gate game was a huge proponent of it and when her boyfriend found out that she was literally having sex with five other guys he was like “okay so by your logic you raped me.” And she was just like 😐
If you want to marry a submissive woman who will respect you,
Marry a woman from communities we consider "hardship communities"
• Maasai
• Turkana
• Borana
• Somali
• Giriama
• Taita
• Pokot
• Tugen
• Teso
Especially if they grew up in their families.
They have lived in situations that call for patience and humility.
No matter how tough your marriage becomes, they will endure everything.
They will remain respectful and submissive.
They are good women.
I didn't say you marry them from the city. The Gilbey Dragons will stress you for nothing.
Get them from their villages.
Remember, you are marrying a mother of your children, a woman whom you will live with for the rest of your life.
Don't gamble.
Benni plainly hates Kenya😂😂juzi alisema he doesn’t live in Nairobi, only visits during international breaks and now this. Fire this failure of a coach, Man Utd fired him too🤌
The day you become broke you will realise you were alone.
Please refuse to entertain jokers and mediocre people around you.
The people you compromise your values to please will not be there when you are struggling.
Let people call you names, but don't lower your standards.
I am a 28M chilled guy dating a 23F student. So i stay at home, mamaa stays in Juja(ako final semester). So jana we talking na mamaa so akasema wacha anishow kitu flani ilimhappenia story goes like this, Mamaa akiwa juja this weekend she met some majaa walikuwa wanajuana kitambo
They shot him in the mouth in October 1952. Senior Chief Waruhiu wa Kung'u, loyal servant of the Crown for thirty years, believed colonial authority was God-given. To disobey the British was to disobey the Almighty Himself. The assassin's bullet entered through his mouth the same mouth that had preached submission for three decades and exited the back of his skull. Two weeks later, Kenya was under a State of Emergency.
But here is wat they don't tell us at the museums. Waruhiu had five wives. His children went to Mangu. His son Sam became Chairman of Old Mutual and Barclays. George founded Waruhiu and Co. Advocates. The family dines on generations of accumulated wealth while the grandchildren of the men who actually fought for freedom the Mau Mau queue for mjengo in Kangemi.
The colonialists knew they were losing. The Mau Mau war had them by the throat. The world was watching. Independence was inevitable the question was never if but who would inherit the spoils. So they devised a scheme, a beautiful but evil, perfectly legal scheme.
They identified the most loyal collaborators, the chiefs, the homeguards, the men who sold their own people for thirty pieces of silver and a position of petty authority and they invested in them. Financially empowered them. Sent their children to schools. Then to England. Created a ready-made Black people who would inherit state power and protect colonial economic interests long after the Union Jack came down. It worked.
Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi once hid Jomo Kenyatta from the colonialists. First man in Kisii to own a car. Fifteen wives. Over a hundred children. His son Simeon Nyachae became Head of Civil Service, Minister for Finance, Minister for Agriculture. The family still owns half of Kisii.
To be continued .....
