Don't care what the haters say, the high point of the opioid epidemic was when Insys pharmaceuticals released a corporate rap song with a rapping sublingual fentanyl spray product.

@pe_vogt@AJGullotta@ConradBastable Always thought it was kind of funny that half of Anakin plot was wanting to avoid loved ones dying, but he has literally met several different force ghosts. Which I don't know you think would lower the fear of losing loved ones as clearly their is an observable afterlife.
Rooting for the Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup, as I believe that we should have the most important trophy for all sports played on ice, in the location in North America literally the most hostile to the existence of ice.
It was certainty one of the more novel attempts at counseling patients who don't remember to take their medications routinely.
Your going to die, there is no reason I shouldn't upgrade my car.
About a decade ago I had a patient who never picked up his medications for diabetes, BP, & LDL, etc and one of the interns started counseling him with look, your making terrible decisions, so I was wondering if you would sign some form to let me get life insurance on you
😂💀 Insurance agent just casually dropped the most HOOD financial advice of all time:
“If you got a kid who likes to shoot people, bar folks, or stay in crazy situations… put ’em in a $100k life insurance policy for $25 a month. They get clapped THIS weekend? You getting a check, fam.”
This man said “be prepared… for the streets”
😭 Bro turned drive-bys into passive income.
On a side note their is a proposal that spinal levels of interferons decrease pain signaling. Which could be an actual physiological explanation of higher male pain tolerance
@Smirkley Its a awkward post because by sheer dumb luck just like a broken clock he happens to have stumbled onto probably the correct decision despite limited understanding of medical science, and poorly thought out underlying beliefs.
They can do it if they want, but I do worry that a lot people receiving gene therapy don't realize that due to the limited number of viral vectors we use to deliver gene therapy. That getting it for something like this, takes off the table gene therapy for say certain cancers or other serious medical conditions that develop as one ages.
In someways gene therapy is kind of like getting a tattoo as a 16 year old. Sure it looks cool now, but how is this going to age.

@Smirkley Like for example you can basically beat familial hypercholesterolemia with a statin. Do you need a vastly more expensive treatment with unproven long term safety data for something we can treat for a couple of dollars a month.
@Smirkley Is it wise to use gene therapy, which in its current form basically makes all other gene therapies vastly unlikely to work, and lacks long term safety data for a disease that one can effectively treat with a statin or a PCSK9 inhibitor.
@MorlockP@Chris_arnade I always wonder about the sports team issue. Not because I think international sports are important, but if you can't transfer loyalty to something as unimportant as a sports team, why would I assume you have deeper loyalties that are anything other then paper thin.
