If Optimus had a swappable battery it could work until the battery charge is about to run out, plug in to the charger, swap the battery with one that has already been charged, unplug and continue working. Alternatively, if Optimus had two swappable batteries, then it would not have to plug into the charger, it could electronically switch the active battery, remove the inactive battery and put that battery into a charger. Downtime would be about one minute. My lawn mower has dual swappable batteries and so it never runs out of charge.
