one of my homies today asked me to imagine what jameis might say to dart about all this. i said “anything is on the board.”
here’s the board. as you can see, i was correct.
I’m all for less numbers during poker broadcasts but wondering if the poker stats were more easily understood like NFL stats - more player specific - and not taken directly from poker solvers - could it help increase viewership and grow the game?
Instead of highlighting the action percentages (winning hand %’s), why not highlight the players’ activity? This could help build characters and viewer interest.
Y’all know how much I love my “optional players”, could these transpositions like these help acquire more of them?
Change “VPIP” to “Action Rate” - indicates how active players are but just more easily understood term
“Clutch Win Rate” - indicates how often a player wins the biggest pots they are in
“Pressure Index” - indicates how often a player is 3betting or putting in extra bets - kind of an aggression meter
“Hands Won Per Hour” - indicates action and winnings
“Showdown Success” - indicates how often they win at showdown
“Steal Success” - indicates how often a player is winning the blinds from late position
“Hero Call Frequency” - indicates how often a player calls and wins with a marginal hand
“Bluffing Rate” - indicates how often a player bluffs
Could transposing the player’s gaming action (like completed passes or TD’s in the NFL) instead of relying on the personalities/antics of the players/commentators/influencers, could be an easier viewer conversion for someone new to poker? @PokerGO@PokerStars@franciiiiine@Sdavies22@JasonKoon
