@svendiggler@bbcquestiontime And then there was this odd idea of excluding UK citizens who enjoyed EU freedom of movement so much they thought of themselves as EU citizens and would have voted to remain EU citizens as well as proud UK citizens flying the flag abroad. Those voices seemingly didn't count.
@JeremyVineOn5 No way! Compulsory black boxes with automatic reporting to law enforcement (not just police) and insurance companies, with retro-fit as a condition of MoT and insurance with crushing as the penalty.
@JeremyVineOn5 Yes. And free uniforms. And compulsory cooking and basic household budgeting plus needlework for *all*. Appalled at how many school leavers lack these basic skills. That said, I can't iron a shirt. But I'm working on it!

@JeremyVineOn5 Doesn't the UK have slightly bigger fish to fry than get involved in family politics? That said, fairness should depend on the T&Cs attached to the gift in question. If the public purse is affected/involved it becomes a legal/public matter. Fair or not, the law is law.
