What makes a country great is real growth generated by population and productivity growth and a debt that grows roughly with the real economy.
A great country like that would have higher interest rates than countries with dwindling population and weak productivity.
I have said this many times: when a society begins to lose its work ethic and sense of personal responsibility, it is already entering a phase of decline. Economic systems DEPEND on individuals striving for independence and productivity. Once that incentive weakens, stagnation follows.
this is actually insane
> be tech guy in australia

> pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA
> feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold
> zero background in biology
> identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets
> design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch
> genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own
> need ethics approval to administer it
> red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine

one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline.
we are going to cure so many diseases.
I dont think people realize how good things are going to get
Australian tech entrepreneur Paul Conyngham explains how he used ChatGPT/AlphaFold (spent $3,000 with no biology background) to create a custom MRNA vaccine to treat his dog’s cancer tumors. Unreal.
🚨 THE REAL REASON STOCKS ARE CRASHING
It's not PPI. Everyone's looking at the wrong headline

William Blair on $NVDA Following $INTC Stake:
"On Thursday, Nvidia announced a historic collaboration with Intel that will integrate Intel’s CPU into Nvidia’s NVL72 racks using NVLink. Nvidia will also provide GPU chiplets to be integrated with Intel’s CPUs to address a broader portion of the PC market. As part of the partnership, Nvidia is investing $5 billion to acquire roughly 215 million Intel shares (4% ownership).
We see this partnership as a win for both companies: Intel gains a new customer in the data center market and funding to advance its foundry goals (18A and 14A), while Nvidia expands into the large x86 ecosystem and broadens its potential footprint in the integrated GPU PC market (70%–80% of the total PC market). Nvidia estimates this partnership increases its total addressable market by ~$50 billion, further intensifying pressure on rival Advanced Micro Devices.
Shares of Nvidia currently trade at 28x consensus 2026 earnings. We see potential for Nvidia to sustain robust growth, driven by continued hyperscaler spending as well as accelerating demand from neocloud, sovereign, and enterprise customers. With the Intel partnership creating incremental revenue opportunities on top of strong demand for NVL72 racks, we continue to see a favorable risk/reward for shares."

To be clear, what the @DOGE team and @USTreasury have jointly agreed makes sense is the following:
- Require that all outgoing government payments have a payment categorization code, which is necessary in order to pass financial audits. This is frequently left blank, making audits almost impossible.
- All payments must also include a rationale for the payment in the comment field, which is currently left blank. Importantly, we are not yet applying ANY judgment to this rationale, but simply requiring that SOME attempt be made to explain the payment more than NOTHING!
- The DO-NOT-PAY list of entities known to be fraudulent or people who are dead or are probable fronts for terrorist organizations or do not match Congressional appropriations must actually be implemented and not ignored. Also, it can currently take up to a year to get on this list, which is far too long. This list should be updated at least weekly, if not daily.
The above super obvious and necessary changes are being implemented by existing, long-time career government employees, not anyone from @DOGE. It is ridiculous that these changes didn’t exist already!
Yesterday, I was told that there are currently over $100B/year of entitlements payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious.
When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a rough guess for what percentage of that number is unequivocal and obvious fraud, the consensus in the room was about half, so $50B/year or $1B/week!!
This is utterly insane and must be addressed immediately.
BREAKTHROUGH DRUG REVERSES NERVE DAMAGE—RESTORES VISION & BRAIN FUNCTION
Scientists have developed a drug that repairs myelin—the protective sheath around nerves—potentially reversing damage from MS, strokes, and brain injuries.
LL-341070 dramatically sped up myelin repair in tests, restoring lost vision and brain function.
Researchers say it could be a game-changer for neurological diseases.
Human trials are still ahead, but experts believe this could be the first real step toward helping the brain heal itself.
