"From a Washington perspective, #Pakistan is not a woman to marry, but rather a whore to use and discard. Munir is just the latest pimp. Trump’s term is ending and whoever comes next—Republican or Democrat—will likely agree on one issue: Pakistan is not to be trusted, nor will the United States feel any obligation to respect any Trump promises to Munir."
I explain in my latest @SundayGuardian commentary: https://t.co/Xdsz9jyZnc
Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai wrote on X that Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has described the Gandhara civilization as part of Pakistan’s national identity and claimed the rubab and the story of “Adam Khan and Durkhanai” as part of its cultural heritage, but said these claims do not align with historical facts.
According to Karzai, historically, Gandhara was part of ancient Ariana, stretching from Bamiyan to the Indus, and belongs to the civilization of present-day Afghanistan.
He further added that the rubab and the story of “Adam Khan and Durkhanai” are part of Afghanistan’s intangible cultural heritage, referenced in the ancient book (Milli Hindara), and that UNESCO in 2024 recognized the art of making the rubab and zerbaghali as Afghanistan’s cultural heritage.

This is a time to come together so we can build a Canada strong for all.

Pakistani government officials and “journalists” may be the only people who lie more than Trump.
They seem so desperate to be seen as the deal-maker here they’ll say anything.
Vance did not extend his stay - he left promptly.
They’ve also twice today said the second round of talks were planned for Islamabad, when US officials said they’ve not yet ruled out more talks and would discuss the location.
#WATCH | Belfast, Northern Ireland | On Pakistan mediating US-Iran peace talks, British Political Commentator & Writer David Vance says, "... The fact that Pakistan, which I consider to be a terrorist state, somehow positioned itself as a neutral arbitrator. I find that very strange. If they wanted to have a neutral arbitrator, it could have been India... I'm very distrustful of these talks. It's being held in the wrong place and on the wrong principles... What can even be a positive outcome?... Is it just to say, let's have a form of peace and abandon the Iranian people who rose and were slaughtered in their thousands? Is that a positive outcome?... Also, just as it legitimises Pakistan, which shouldn't be legitimised in my view anyway, it also gives Iran credibility, which it shouldn't have. The Iranian machine has been smashed into a thousand pieces over the past five weeks, but now Iran is suddenly holding global oil to ransom, and the Americans want to negotiate. I don't think they should be negotiating..."
Genuine question: Why couldn’t the US/Iran negotiation happen in Turkey or even in China? Bin Laden was literally living right next to an army base in Pakistan. Why is the US giving Pakistan a platform?
Pakistan kept the Islamic terrorist regime in Iran alive. This two week pause was brought by Pakistan, NOT Tehran. Pakistan did not even require the regime to stop its aggression against the UAE, other Gulf countries, and Jordan. We will not forget this backwardness and betrayal. This is the world’s biggest mistake, trusting filthy terrorists. Trump will regret it. YOU DON’T TRUST TERRORISTS OR NEGOTIATE WITH THEM.
Why do Pakistanis ignore Afghan civilian deaths by their own military while crying over Iranian and Palestinian deaths 24/7? #hypocrites

Important investigation by @NYTimes and @ElianPeltier into the criminal bombing of the Kabul drug rehabilitation centre. The UN and international courts should urgently investigate and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
“Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights have called for an independent investigation.”

Pakistan's Airstrikes in Afghanistan Raise War Crime Concerns
"Pakistani strikes in Afghanistan cannot be justified under international law. They represent a breach of state sovereignty, a violation of the UN Charter, and a failure to adhere to the fundamental rules of armed conflict. The absence of credible evidence regarding the presence of armed groups (TTP) further undermines Pakistan’s claims and raises serious questions about the intent and legality of these operations. The international community must take these developments seriously and work to ensure accountability, prevent further violations, and uphold the rule of law." - Editorial @heartofasiapost 👇

Samira Muhammadi hopes an international investigation can "extinguish" her pain after a Pakistani bombing killed her son and hundreds of other Afghans in the capital Kabul. The March 16 attack hit a drug treatment centre and killed 411 people, according to Afghan officials.
The Pakistani bombing of a drug-treatment center in a hospital in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, reportedly killed 411 people. If the attack is found to be intentional or reckless, it could lead to war-crime charges. Why is Pakistan not investigating? https://t.co/Dr4HWDvbTR
Why did Pakistan bomb a drug-treatment center in an Afghan hospital, killing 411? Pakistan claimed that it was a military target seems refuted by @AFP's investigation in Kabul. Is Pakistan examining what went wrong to avoid more such killing of civilians? https://t.co/XixawHWcBV
