AI Filmmaker Residency- Kerala, India

We’ve been closely following the incredible work you’ve been doing through your Director Programs, Creative Partner initiatives, UGC Programs, Cohorts, and other creator-focused opportunities. It’s inspiring to see how Flick is empowering the next generation of storytellers and filmmakers

At @openhouselab , we are building creator residency programs in Kerala, India, and we’d love to explore a collaboration with Flick through an experimental and highly content-driven initiative:

The Idea

AI Filmmaker Residency

Duration: 7 Days
Participants: 7 Selected Creators
Location: Kerala, India

The goal is simple: bring together seven ambitious creators under one roof and challenge them to create AI-powered films from scratch.

Throughout the residency, participants will:

- Ideate and develop original concepts
Write scripts
- Learn and experiment with AI filmmaking tools
- Direct and produce their projects
Collaborate with fellow creators
- Receive mentorship and feedback
- Build and release a final AI film by the end of the program using Flick’s ecosystem and tools

Why This Matters:
- Beyond the final films, the residency itself becomes the story.
- Every participant’s journey will be documented:

Behind-the-scenes content:
- Daily creator vlogs
- Progress updates
- Creative breakthroughs
- Challenges and learnings
- Team collaborations

This means valuable content will be produced every single day throughout the residency, showcasing both the creators and the power of AI filmmaking.

Expected Outcomes:

- 7 completed AI films
- A highly engaging creator journey documented from start to finish
- Daily social content across multiple platforms
- A strong community of AI filmmakers and storytellers
- A unique case study demonstrating what’s possible when creators collaborate in an immersive environment
