I find custom cracking fascinating! Not the pure wordlist cracking, but actually coming up with strategies, rules/hybrids, custom generators, .... High end GPUs are def necessary tho! I got a cracking rig too, but what I find even more fascinating is distributed cloud cracking. Lets ignore legal struggle for a second: I can catch a WPA2 handshake on my 100 bucks pinephone, send it via mobile network HTTPS/API to my main-server, which distributes it to dozens/hundreds of high end rented GPU servers to run a pre-defined attack (that costs a fixed amount of money rental). Isnt that sick? Either I got access in a few minutes while on-site - or not.
@aaronjmars 100% this!!! 4.7 is great if you use proper knowledge management and AI SDLC techniques.
Just the security thing is a drawback compared to 4.6.
@7h3h4ckv157 PinePhone + Distributed CloudCracker
PinePhone makes it easy to stealthy capture the handshake, script sends it via mobile data to a server that distributes cracking jobs to GPU instances. Either you have access with in a few mins, or you cant afford access ๐ซ ๐
You can read more about our - but also about the successful attacks by folks such as @nSinusR - in Raspberry Pi's latest blogpost:

@nessrinetr42769@GroqInc@ArtificialAnlys I didnt know, thanks for sharing. I was heavily using whisper already but didnt know that translation is part of its abilities.
@nessrinetr42769@GroqInc@ArtificialAnlys Whisper is just a speech to text model. Its not a multimodal modal like gpt4o. But whisper has some really good Transcription quality
@MatthewBerman you might be interested.
Im no more into gaming, but how hard can it be to translate desktop screenshots into HID actions... Allen AIs Molmo is actually quite good in marking something on screenshots.
I need to try this out. But i will use HID Emulation.
"Basically homeless" out of nowhere presented a robot that is playing FPS games by actually watching the screen with a camera, processing it using AI into mouse movements and then actually using a mouse to with the robots arm to aim and shoot.

@MatthewBerman It for sure makes it harder. Which is why it is even more important to teach them values, so they are hopefully not really interested.
But if they are, teach them!
Same applies for access to the internet, AI, knives, fire, scooter/bicycle, soldering irons, hotglue, alcohol,....
Interesting things going on. Did you know that people actually put money on this?

In other words, there is now another financial reason for people to spread false information.
If I read one more Post about how โIran recently carried out a Nuclear Testโ Iโm going to Lose my Mind. There is nothing at all right now to suggest that Iran conducted any kind of Nuclear Test; the Seismic Activity we saw on the 5th was Too Small and Too Deep for a Nuclear Test.
