Video excerpts from a walk I led on Hackney Marshes in October. This cut (15/150 mins) focuses on some tree history, river Lea history & Olympics. Nice nature shots to distract from my ramblings.

@tombfowler Mitting bridles at the word 'concession'. Lawyer* withdraws it then gives chapter & verse on refusal. (Mitting not a happy bunny.)

BBC radio4 news talking about 'migrant hostels'. These people are refugees, asylum seekers, entitled to a roof while their applications are considered. It's not their fault the Home Office isn't fit for purpose. @BBCRadio4@BBCNews please don't stoke prejudice.

@wmreddy @BOblivius @StuartHumphryes Is it pulling or pushing? Looking at the pivot points, I can't make pulling work but perhaps I'm missing something
@redballoonsue @BOblivius @StuartHumphryes Working out how the pivot points are set up, these brakes look like rod not cable transmission and would push not pull. My impression is street bikes generally had rod brakes until a few decades ago & they're still to be seen on vintage models.
@TTBrandst@99blackbaloons Well, yes, but surely the problem is unpredictability? Will next spring be dry, cold, wet, warm?
If you're in northern England then isn't keeping tomatoes indoors based on long experience of historical climate, not an adjustment to recent conditions?

@carlafrancome It's infuriating that so little space is given to wheelchairs/buggies/big luggage, throwing us into stressful competition. Single deckers in eg. Newcastle have lots of flip seats so space is flexible. 2 decker design trickier but surely not beyond the wit ...
