This study aims to identify sources of inflammation and associated symptoms in knee osteoarthritis that persist despite effectively improving loads on the knee.

Thanks to @appletonlab@WOBL_Western and @FKSMC for the support!
I’m proud to share that I was selected for an @LHSCCanada Clinician-Scientist Award! I’m very fortunate to work for an organization that values improving patient care through research and innovation.
@SwanseaCityDC@fried_egg_golf Ouch. I don’t think the broadcast caught all of the interaction but I guess it’s not the RO’s job to tell him all his options if not asked. Seemed like they didn’t know about it because they were surprised to hear it after dropping. Even the broadcast booth didn’t know. Tough.

@NoLayingUp Why aren’t commentators harder on Scottie for being atrocious on the greens? Several putts this week just nowhere close. Tbf Smylie just gave it to him a bit, but we all know it wouldn’t be a fair fight if he could just putt…average.
Excited to share our paper on changes in cartilage thickness & composition with challenged walking in patients at risk for knee OA!
Very similar response to controls, so moderate exercise is unlikely to contribute to cartilage degeneration at this stage.

Very proud of this one. Research outside of my usual focus, and also my first paper as the PI during my time at UPEI. Congrats to Alexander on his first pub, who started this study as part of his undergrad thesis!
Alexander starts his BEd this fall and will make a great teacher!
Just accepted & published in @HeliyonJournal!
We found Canadians struggle to meet the 24 Hour Movement Guidelines during “normal times”. This became about twice as difficult during the pandemic, with minimal improvements after the most restrictive times.

Also incorporating lifelong education/health literacy programs. Any improvements to facilitating Canadians’ health behaviour habits will pay dividends to Canadian citizens, the Canadian economy, and can reduce the growing burden on the healthcare system over time.
@sekrah@NUCLRGOLF@DataGolf Quick stats lesson for you.
Larger sample sizes decrease variance, not smaller.
These are highly processed and adjusted numbers based on the scenario to provide important context, not “raw numbers”.
Still a great round though.
@NoLayingUp Could the broadcast team dig a bit deeper into some storylines instead of defaulting to comparisons to the men’s game at Pebble, past champions, etc to fill airtime?
