Ban guns/violence?… nope we ban books and real parts of US history🤦🏻♀️. Why is it so hard for people to understand what the real issues are. https://t.co/kdwYwwcaJf
We've always had SEL in schools. It was called recess, play, & classes like Music, Art, Physical Education. But they have been taken away or reduced to spend more time on testing, & then we wonder why students lack social/ emotional skills & misbehavior that come with lack of it.
Standardized tests have no place in elementary education. Because testing becomes the focus of education instead of learning. We take away the fun and excitement of learning, playing, exploring, & creating. We create test takers instead of problem solvers and innovators.

Q7 cont… sit on the carpet correctly, and line up in line correctly. For me I need to work on being consistent with positives no matter what grade level. #LionsROAR
Q7– I really likes the section on the liking principle. Somethings I use in my classroom is positive humor for sure and positive compliments. But one line I noticed in the book on page 114 really struck a cord with me. I noticed that I give way more positive compliments
Q7 cont.. to the Younger students because in my mind they are still learning. “Yay oh my gosh you sat in your spot on the carpet correctly that’s amazing” but I don’t give as many positives to the older students because in my mind I think they’re older they already know how to
Q6 One take away that I was interested in was the four positives to one negative ratio. I know in a lot of our professional developments they talk about this a lot. But it can be difficult at times when you are having a situation with a tough kid
Q5: My complement goes to the specials team. We have such a hard job seeing every single student in the school and all the different personalities that come with that. And also the pre-K team this year. Your Pre kers came in at the beginning of the year so little but
Q1:The Tough Kids Book.
What aligned to my thinking is we are the authority in our classroom. If we look organized in the way we reach and the way our classroom is run our students will want to comply. #lionsROAR
