I was talking to many friends this morning in both northern and southern Gaza, and their situation is truly unimaginable. Malnutrition is spreading more and more, as families have nothing but scraps to survive on. With humanitarian aid blocked for 60 days by Israel, there’s no food, medicine, or fuel coming in. People are starving. This isn’t about security — it’s collective punishment, driving an entire population to the edge.

The wildfires raging across central Israel are devastating, with entire communities being evacuated and major highways closed. My thoughts are with all those affected by this crisis.

I commend the Palestinian Authority for offering assistance in battling the fires. In moments like these, it’s crucial to remember the importance of humanity over division, especially when lives are at stake..

I stand with those impacted by this disaster, Israelis and Palestinians and I hope for the safety of the firefighters and everyone working tirelessly to contain the fires.

@zackferguson Hard disagree - the data is left-skewed therefore you should be looking at median rather than mean average (lie you calculated above). Restricting applications is not going to make much difference. >75% of applicants made 2 or less applications.

If you invest the max available for the childs first ten years you set up the 2 generations that follow you for finanical prosperity. 2 gens ago my family were displaced refugees with nothing to their name. Some security might go a long way.

@oli_m_sims This gives them a chance to retract. Unfortunately, even if they retract you will never trust that colleague with any deeply personal information again. There's no going back to where you were. But at least be thankful you know where you stand and they told you who they are.
