Since everyone wants to jump on ESPN FPI rankings, let’s check out how well ESPN’s FPI did last year!
No 1 Texas missed the Playoffs
No. 5 Penn State went 7-6
No. 11 Clemson finished unranked
No. 12 LSU finished 7-6
No. 14 Auburn missed a bowl game
No. 15 South Carolina finished 4-8
No. 18 Florida finished 4-8
No. 21 KSU missed bowl
No. 22 Arkansas went 2-10
No. 25 Nebraska went 7-6
No Texas Tech, BYU, Utah, Houston, or TCU who all finished ranked.
No Indiana who beat everyone and won the Natty
No G6 teams (4 finished ranked)
They had 13 SEC schools ranked, and somehow missed Vanderbilt
I don’t think you could create a worse poll if you tried.
EA has completely tarnished the CFB image forever. Used to be a game that had the players in mind. Now they are throwing that away for a quick buck. Only gets worse from here. #CFBPlayDontPay
It really seems like it is everybody (including some people who worked on CFB 27) VS the decision makers at EA
There is still an opportunity for @EASPORTSCollege to make it right, but whoever is calling the shots would have to sign off
Give us “Our Game” back. Remove microtransactions and add back the fast XP settings. At least attempt to even find a middle ground
Do something because continuing to double down on the current state with no changes is ruining what should be an amazing launch moment for CFB 27
and if there is anything I have learned about the College Football community, they are loud, they are vocal, and they won’t just shut up bc you tried to ignore it #CFBPlayDontPay
According to @MikeStrawMedia, many devs who knew about the stuff coming to College Football 27 were “livid” about it for months
He says “Even future single-player-only titles will have more monetization options enabled.” This is no longer about just CFB 27
This is about the future and direction of games coming from EA. I am speechless #CFBPlayDontPay
If I wasn’t clear enough yesterday, I will never work with @EASPORTSCollege again if they don’t reverse these decisions.
EA’s playbook will be to wait out the backlash. That’s why this conversation can’t stop. And trust me… we’re not the only ones who feel this way. #CFBPlayDontPay
If you are a US Citizen and you aren’t rooting for USA against Belgium, you are a traitor. No other way to put it. You can’t be trusted if you are rooting against your own country in the World Cup.
