@visceralscenery I mostly do my own but every so often pay to do basic manicure. I use the Essie at home no UV gel and it doesn’t really chip! I don’t like how real gel destroys your nails and def a lot of people I know do it bi-weekly or whatever.
@CoffeeBlackMD I had a PPH in a hospital and that experience very much taught me never to do a home birth. I’m a doula now but I only support hospital births for this very reason. Very scary stuff.
@anothercohen We have the same problem. I’ve instituted a rule that they’re no longer allowed to start the dishwasher so I can fix it first. She tried to wash a milk frother in the dishwasher just yesterday.
You can avoid a lot of this if you just pay cash for the car. Or bring your own financing. Just bought a car for cash, once we agreed on the price I paid a deposit and peaced. Wired funds the next day then signed a few things and was done - took literally like 5-10 minutes.
They want you to sit thru the Finance Manager’s pitch for you to add-on a bunch of crap that increases their margin on the car. I went thru this with my 24 year old son. I sat in on the pitch. I’m sure my son, if alone and not knowing, would have agreed to some of it.
But he looked at me after every issue offered by the Fonance guy and I just nodded my head “No.”
Pissed the guy off. Completely unfriendly when done. Took 45 min.
@sunfwrpwr I know, I saw that. I think it’s fine to get the sweep now, if it works, it’s better than being induced. And if it doesn’t work then you just get induced anyway.
@evilmatryoshka I don’t even get annoyed anymore, I just laugh at how clueless they are. After 10 years it’s more clear than ever that we’re all winging it and you’ll be presented with new challenges all the time as a parent.
@moseskagan Was just thinking about this today for similar reasons. My husband just had a hip replacement as he had a tumor and Amazon has had everything we need and fast - can’t even buy this stuff locally by me. Made something hard a lot easier.
@cryptoklotz Very few adults get cavities. Seems like it’s all bullshit. Just get your teeth cleaned 2x per year and brush and floss and you’re all good.
@milkandmarrow This is my exact go to summer outfit, literally wore it yesterday to an event at my daughter’s school. It’s a normal hot weather outfit!
@rohindhar I bought a Bosch from Costco. It’s fine but the dishes are always wet on the second rack. The cutlery rack was a must for me and I do love that - fits way more dishes that way. All steel interior and hard water means it needs salt and aluminum balls to offset rust buildup.
