@songadaymann Ahh I’ve seen this weird take a few times… there’s nothing inherently wrong with mbs, it’s literally just a bond. It was a problem in 08 because the underlying mortgages were dogshit because banks were approving loans that shouldn’t have been approved
@shegenerates Uhhh so what? That’s not a 2008-style problem unless the underlying mortgages are trash and at risk of defaulting. And that isn’t happening at the moment
@apolynya Is the statement “one who owns 1% of all ETH owns 1% of the Ethereum network” inaccurate? If no, how is ETH not equity? If yes, what is inaccurate about that statement?
@dcinvestor I don’t mean to cook-ability-shame but this is like asking “I have two slices of bread, American cheese, butter, and a skillet. What could I POSSIBLY make with this combination of ingredients.” … am I being woooshed here?
@GwartyGwart Just as dependent yes, bit with the vastly expanded programmability of the ethereum network compared to bitcoin, it won’t be a strong argument. “Yea good luck finding new use cases with your Turing complete infinitely expressive virtual machine”
@HenryChatfield I’m a CPA but not a tax guy… I say no chance because you are purchasing an asset, not incurring an expense. Would be one thing if the nft had a service life then you can depreciate the nft over a period of time, but again it’s digital asset so not applicable
