@GarminAviation I am being interviewed for article in FT and GQ about my plan to fly transatlantic. Do I tell them it's been on hold for 4 years awaiting GFC500 approval, or is there an 'O' date? Fancy using GDRAM to certify it?
@jason_spinks@DrRupertM @AngusMacNeilSNP @FlyLoganair@UK_CAA LOC only is still ILS. EGNOS may still "be there" but I'd like to see your defence to the CAA using an uncertified LPV minima.
@DrRupertM @AngusMacNeilSNP @FlyLoganair@UK_CAA Dear "Dr", best check your facts. They have GPS RNP approaches at Tiree and Barra, but leaving EU has removed the EGNOS signal which means higher LNAV minima instead of LPV minima. There is ILS at Stornoway and VOR/NDB at Bennie. These are non-visual approach aids.
@GarminAviation Hi. Any news or updates on this please? The FR172K (which is approved and on your AML) is actually on the same FAA TCDS (A18EU)as the FR172E/F/G/H/Js. There is no technical difference to them. Is this just a paper exercise? I have now been waiting over 4 years.
@CameronMcNeish In many places, it is a beautiful and very forgotten corner of Scotland. I feel privileged to visit frequently, and provide unique seaplane and adventure training in Bruce's old stamping grounds. I worry about bureaucracy and nimbyism trying to stamp everything out.
@ObanAirport@WeeDramSeaplane and many many others look forward to getting back to normality later this spring, but we REALLY need to be able to refuel ... how much longer is this going to take ? You will lose business if it is not sorted quickly. Already been waiting for 18months ...
