a MAJORITY of Democrats in the House & Senate voted to give Trump nearly a trillion dollars for war in 2026
…now we’re supposed to act like this party isn’t a willing partner in ruinous US foreign policy, but rather a bulwark against war? Gonna take more than some angry tweets!
Trump an hour ago:
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want it to happen but it probably will.”
JD Vance right now:
"Iran has to know we've got tools in our toolkit that we so far haven't decided to use. Trump can decide to use them, and he will if the Iranians don't change course."
The President and the Vice President are both threatening to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran. This is the most dangerous moment in human history and it is all being caused by the United States and Israel.
JD VANCE: "There's just no way Trump is gonna about this country to get into a multiyear conflict with no end in sight"
TRUMP HOURS LATER: "Wars can be fought 'forever,' and very successfully"
AI barely *needs* to be capable in order to take our jobs. As @doctorow put it: "We're nowhere near the point where an AI can do your job, but we're well past the point where your boss can be suckered into firing you and replacing you with a bot that *fails* at doing your job."
The state of America is that the government is covering up a child sex trafficking ring and is going to war with the entire Western Hemisphere to distract from the cover up and also to steal resources for the same elites who may be in the files.
This is the moment when Democrats ended the possibility of a public health insurance option and/or Medicare for All for another generation, fortifying the power of their insurance industry donors to continue immiserating everyone - and soon after, Dems were thrown out of power.
We are still living through the horrific consequences of those decisions to not use a once-in-a-generation election mandate and huge congressional majorities to actually deliver genuine change. Until Democrats and their liberal sycophants fess up to and reckon with that original set of sins, they will struggle to build a durable and sustainable electoral majority.
50 years ago today, we lost the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior when the gales of November came early. 29 lives lost in one of the great storms to happen on the Great Lakes. We remember them on this 50th anniversary.
