Water companies have been given the green light to increase bills for customers by an extra £3.4bn in coming years to meet demands on maintenance, housebuilding and data centres. The public are being treated like suckers by the water companies. It’s literally taking the piss. ▪️3 billion litres of waters are lost every day due to network pipe leaks. ▪️35-40 reservoirs have been sold off since the 1990s and no new reservoirs have been built. ▪️Almost 300,000 sewage spills in England alone in 2025. ▪️Over the past decade, UK water company executives have been awarded over £112 million in bonuses and incentive payments. And now the water companies will hoover up even more money from the public despite their shoddy service provision, hosepipe bans and massive bonuses to company executives. And therein lies the main problem in Britain. Corporate greed at the public’s expense.
