@brandonjcarl The only flaw in your argument is if governments like dem congress restrict dc buildout. Ironically for the ai bulls/elon, they should vote blue to maintain pricing power
Maybe what it takes to fire up the AI trade is pandemic type event but in cyber (eg grid attack). Obviously I hope we don’t see that, but given the current fear re cyber, you have to assign a healthy probability to it. It’s just weird to me how compute isnt the biotech of 2020. The antidote is having compute to combat these attacks
People are confused about semis dumping and gpu spot price increasing. This is only because demand is moving to open source models, and all the GPUs are being hoarded by the big labs or stuck under commitments, so GPU on the rental market absorb the demand. IMO SpaceX will drop the race, and will fully pivot to compute provider. Thesis is the same, frontier is platauing, reward on training is getting lower, and all of a sudden big labs hoarding gpus will rush to capture the inference margin before it collapses.
@LSREnergy Maybe ask yourself what they know that they are replenishing reserves and not using it for runs instead of making the retarded comment that it can bite both ways
lol would you have been rooster walking about mRNA a week ago too? Cyber security stocks are literally retarded in the ai age, valuation aside. They are patently useless. You know what hasn’t stopped ai exploits? Legacy cyber security. You know what has? Renting your own gb200 and running swarms of Kimi/deepseek to find exploits in your systems. Why do you think compute costs in the last week just took a hockey stick higher. Enterprises may short term panic spend on cyber but the utility isn’t there relative to running your own agentic swarms
Praying that a democratic congress and a market blowup will put an end to Substack furu accounts. “Not financial advice” but you charge 200-500/m for stock picks with no accountability on whether you are front running your subs. This has to end. These guys shouldn’t be allowed to trade ahead of their own recommendations
@BingBongDeeDoop@OnodaCapital Ya that’s cool. You do you. Hedging is for losers like me I guess. Makes buying the dip oh so much sweeter when the world is burning and your portfolio is not. Pray tell, what was ur return in 2022? I can tell you mine (and yes I’ve beat the market in the years since ex 2024)
distillation bros are funny. steal everyone's ip then whine when it happens to you (as if they werent caught red handed downloading illegally from libgen). imagine if people tried to closed source the internet. imagine if a guy opened a weed dispensary then whined that people sell weed illegally for less.
@goodalexander@taobanker@nicoletteduclar Technically he did believe all 20 of his buddies had a shot to cook. Weird people think this is bleak. This is how you optimize the expected return of the basket
@Merridew__@finphysnerd i thought the same about $255440 before i said it fuck it we ball and here we are. outperformed the mammory names on rebound and held in better on recent draw
Coreweave is not in distress. Their peer's credit was repriced over the last 3 months similarly. I used to be able to put 20% down for compute, now everyone is asking for 30% down. Cost of capital for compute was just too low. It's fine
Since grok doesn’t like to speak ill of the trump admin, I asked Claude: Kushner: Foreign Money and US Favors, Consolidated
The money
Affinity Partners (launched 2021, right after he left the White House)
•Saudi Arabia (PIF): $2B anchor commitment. Reporting says PIF's own investment committee argued against it and MBS overruled them. Lawmakers estimate about $129M in fees to Affinity from PIF between 2021 and 2025.
•Qatar (QIA) and Abu Dhabi (Lunate): an extra $1.5B in 2024, plus a fund extension to 2029. Together with PIF, they are Affinity's three largest LPs.
•Total: $6.16B in assets per the Raskin-led probe, including $1.2B raised in 2025 alone.
•More being sought: the NYT reported him soliciting $5B+ more from foreign governments while serving as envoy.
Co-investing alongside sovereign funds
Ben Affleck (Hollywood star & Artists Equity CEO) talks about how he fine-tunes open video models by unfreezing weights and trained only the last cinematic layer so a film crew can hit real production standards.
for context, Ben Affleck founded InterPositive in 2022, a 16-person AI shop for film post and Netflix bought it in March 2026 for $587 mn in cash.
He needed that model because public video models were trained on his peers' films, and he did not think that was a real business. So InterPositive raised money, shot its own dataset for 8 months on a controlled stage, and used it only as late-stage training.
Each new film then trains a private model on its own dailies, so the production keeps the footage and the learning. That is the product Netflix paid $587 million for.
