Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami received the endorsement of former Heads of Service of Gombe State and senior retired Permanent Secretaries of Gombe State.
The team comprised former Heads of Service, including Alhaji Usman Ahmed Maburuk and Alhaji Adamu Hussaini Abubakar, among others.
Pantami was also in the meeting with the leadership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), including the State Chairman, Major General Amnon Kalaye Kwaskebe (Rtd.), among many other senior officials.
The retired Permanent Secretaries complained about the challenges confronting the Service, such as negligence of due process in appointments and promotions, including the appointment of what is called "Overseeing Permanent Secretary," which is not recognized by the Service, unnecessary delays in promotion, and poor remuneration, among others.
Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami appreciated them and assured them that he has already crafted a blueprint, in collaboration with other retired and serving officials, to address most of the challenges. He also assured them that the policy would be reviewed in collaboration with them to address the issues.
They complained that the Service is currently on life support and that there is an urgent need to address the problems.
Pantami assured them of his reforms in NITDA, NIMC, among others, where he crafted new Conditions of Service that the agencies of the Federal Government under his supervision are enjoying at the moment. They public may wish to interview the staff about the benefits of the reviewed salary, allowances among many others.
They all agreed to work together to rescue the Service from total collapse from 29th May, 2027, in sha Allah.

An Open Letter to Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, on Behalf of the People of Gusau II
Your Excellency,
We write to commend your visionary leadership and the impressive progress you have brought to Zamfara State. Your commitment to transforming our state within such a short time is a remarkable achievement that well-meaning citizens deeply appreciate and take pride in.
We, the people of Gusau II—comprising six densely populated wards: Mada, Wonaka, Ruwan Bore, Magami, Wanke, and Rijiya—respectfully submit this request. Historically, our constituency produces higher voter turnouts than several entire local government areas in the state. Despite this strong political support, our area remains underrepresented across leadership and governance strata.
For over two years, our community elders and youth leaders have sought an audience to discuss critical local issues requiring your official attention. Regrettably, these efforts have been unsuccessful. We feel that the intermediaries entrusted to serve as a bridge between your administration and our people have prioritized personal interests over community welfare, preventing our genuine concerns and opportunities from reaching you.
Therefore, we politely request a direct and accessible channel of communication between Your Excellency and the representatives of Gusau II. This will ensure our community's trust, needs, and opportunities are no longer hijacked by individuals serving self-serving motives.
We trust in your listening ear and remain hopeful that this request will receive your prompt and favorable consideration.
Respectfully yours,
Ibrahim Mu'azu Mada Bakenawa
Chairman, Gusau II Youths Organisation Forum
