It’s really unfair that the hordes of people who responded “Release the hostages!” to every clip of a hospital being bombed or a child being blown to pieces will never be forced to reckon with the plain fact that Netanyahu could’ve brought them home the evening of October 7, 2023
Ha'aretz reports that Hamas, through Qatar, conveyed immediately on Oct. 7 that they were willing to return all the civilian hostages for nothing -- their only ask was for a mediator to arrange the exchange and establish a connection to then negotiate the further release of the soldiers. Israel refused to talk or hear about it.
So Qatar reached out to Antony Blinken to let him know that Hamas was willing to release all the civilian hostages.
Blinken told Qatar he didn't want to hear it because "Israel is still under attack, and there's no one to talk to."
Blinken had the opportunity to free every single civilian hostage and de-escalate the situation. Instead he wanted war.
Funny how Zionists will boycott an artist because they heard someone say Free Palestine at a concert but then turn around and call you antisemitic if you boycott Israel for committing a whole genocide.
Today, rather than focus on the price of gas, the price of groceries, ending the war, or stopping the trade war, Congress spent its time declaring this.
“Dear colleges that receive American taxpayer money: We will take away that American taxpayer money if you decide to keep it from going to Israel.”
Aside from being blatantly unconstitutional, it’s wild. Why is it wrong to want our taxpayer money spent here to provide for schools here instead of being sent somewhere else?
This bill effectively prohibits divestment from Israel. Worse yet, it creates a condition where any university not invested in Israel ultimately risks having their funding revoked on grounds of discrimination against a foreign country.
Land of the free, by the way.
"The Hanover Institute has no listed scholars, no bylines, not a single named author. In just over a week it published over 100 reports on Israel, Palestine, and antisemitism, engineered to manipulate AI search and chatbot responses."

To apply for asylum, you have to be physically present in the United States.
The Trump admin has mostly eliminated asylum for people who come by land. Now they’re punishing people who flew in legally on visas. It’s clear that they no longer want there to be any “right way.”
The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
People will act like this material doesn’t work, but there is nothing high tech or unproven about this.
We have had the capacity to scale bioplastics for decades. We just use petroplastics because oil corporations control governments.
“An internal investigation found two of the glove shocks lasted 45 and 99 seconds apiece — far more than the manufacturer’s recommended 15-second limit.”
ICE’s “Shock Gloves” have already proven lethal.
Do not allow fascist thugs to obtain yet another deadly weapon.
Reminder that the IDF recently said it called off strikes after noticing curly sideburns on its targets, assessing correctly they were Jewish settlers and not Palestinians.
Now Israel claims that striking vehicles marked “World Central Kitchen” three straight times was somehow a mistake that couldn’t be avoided.
Israel didn’t just “fire on a car”, the Red Cross told them 5-year-old Hind was in that car. IDF gave permission to an ambulance to enter the area, then ambushed & bombed that ambulance, shot 355 bullets at Hind’s car, prevented anyone from reaching her body for 12 days & lied about it for 2 years saying “we never even had troops in that area” despite satellite images & audio recordings proving they were lying!
This is insane. ICE is deporting people to countries they’re not from solely as a way to send a message to completely different people; a form of collective punishment.
The Trump administration spits on human rights every day.
You *did* hear it from me bc I've been reporting on this. A lot of ppl seem to think Flock is the only ALPR out there. You guys can rip down all the cameras u want (Flock gets paid every time u do that btw), but unless u pass PRIVACY LAWS nothing will change except the vendors!
James Talarico: “If these data centers can’t meet the demands of the people who live in these communities, they shouldn’t be built. It’s pretty simple: if these data centers can’t pay for their own energy, it they can’t recycle their water and fund the water infrastructure necessary to operate these facilities, if they can’t produce good paying union jobs, if they can’t get the consent of the people who live in these communities then they shouldn’t be built. Period. Full stop”
