Excited to share that I recently joined @OpenAI 🚀
First, I want to give a huge thank you to the amazing @omni team. It was an honor to be in the trenches with y’all and I’m excited to keep cheering the team on for all that’s ahead.
I’m joining OpenAI to help lead their forward deployed engineering teams. The world is rapidly changing as frontier models continue to improve at an accelerating rate and I wanted to have a front-row seat to the action.
It’s very exciting to be reunited with so many friends from Columbia, Palantir, and Explo, now as coworkers (again).
There is so much to do, there is so much demand, but there are not enough people. A day in the life of an OAI FDE might include:
1️⃣ Embedding deeply with customers and shipping outcomes
2️⃣ Contributing customer learnings back to product
3️⃣ Building evals from the field and partnering with research to improve our models
If this sounds exciting to you, please DM or email me!
(we are also aggressively hiring for other roles across the entire organization!)
NYC rearranged tons of street space to make room for people to get around using bikes. What happened next?
🥳 Every mile of protected bike lane added generates about 1,100 daily bike trips. Bike commuting tripled from 2007 to 2024.
🥳 15% to 20% of new bike trips replaced vehicle trips, creating a per-mile reduction of about 140,000 to 190,000 vehicle miles traveled every year.
🥳 Bike share continues to appeal to residents. 13% of all New Yorkers used a @CitiBikeNYC in 2022. In 2014, the first full year of service, 8.6 million rides. In 2024, 44.5 million rides.
🥳 Bike infrastructure creates 47% more jobs per $1 million spent than car projects, boosts local sales by 49%, and generates 3.6 times more expenditure per space converted from cars.
🥳 Protected lanes increase cycling probability by over 9%.
🥳 Every $1,300 invested yields health benefits equivalent to one additional year of life for residents.
🥳 Shifting trips to bikes cuts vehicle miles traveled reduced congestion, lowered carbon emissions, and improved air quality. @CitiBikeNYC alone reduced emissions by 1,800,000 pounds monthly.
Excited to announce Starbridge has raised a $42M Series A led by Craft.
Building in the public sector is sexy again and we're building the go-to-market & infrastructure platform behind it. LFG!!!
Excited to share that Garage has raised a $13.5M Series A, following our $4.5M seed round last year.
When @MartinHuntJr and I started on this over a year ago, we set out to modernize how fire departments and local governments buy and sell their equipment (from radios to fire trucks).
Today, equipment bought on Garage already serves millions of Americans across all 50 states, helping cities stretch their budgets further.
Today is my 10th wedding anniversary and I planned a truly beautiful evening in Sonoma with a 3 Michelin star dinner and a stay at an extremely exclusive hotel.
That is all canceled and I have locked my wife out of the house.
It is time to monitor the situation.
Available this summer, starting at $200k/month or $50k/week.

We made it! Today is @GoPositional's public launch day! Go sign-up! 📈
But in all seriousness, getting here has been a long road. We did a very hard pivot into Positional 13 months ago. We had spent two years building something that people didn’t want, and we decided to return to our roots… content, SEO, and inbound marketing.
Since at least 2019, Matt and I have wanted to build our own toolset. We were tired of using seven separate tools to do our jobs.
We wanted to connect the workflow from end to end, from keyword research to analytics, and the actions that users take that ultimately drive revenue for a business. With Positional, you can start, grow, and scale your inbound marketing and SEO strategy with a toolset optimized for results — not vanity metrics.
Today, Positional has 11 core features. Of course, we have tools for keyword research and tracking. But we also have a number of really unique experiences and workflows for internal linking, content optimization, content analytics, and mapping buyer journeys.
We have a lot of work left to do, but I’m proud of what we’ve shipped today.
There are lots of thank yous. Thank you to my wife, Emma, who has been so supportive. I call Emma my mini-management-consultant (MMC). Emma has been here for a few startups. Being a startup-founder-significant-other is really hard. Lately, Matt and I have been working some insane hours.
Thank you to Matt for being the best co-founder a guy could have. Thank you to my dog, Jasper, who, despite going on much shorter walks lately, has still been incredibly supportive.
Our team, you guys rock. Post-pivot, things were a little crazy. But we stuck together.
Our private beta customers, thank you for trying us and for signing up early. Many of you signed up way too early, but we’ve really appreciated your feedback, suggestions, bug catches, and patience as we’ve built Positional.
We’ve got some wonderful investors, too. Shout out to @snowmaker, @bradflora, @ycombinator, @lachygroom, @briannekimmel, @pioneer_fund, @grinich, and so many others for giving us the opportunity to build Positional.
Again, we’ve got a lot of work left to do. There are bugs still to catch and new products to ship, but we had to launch. If you sign up today, I’d love to hear your feedback. Plus, if you become a customer this week, you’ll get an awesome 3-pack of SEO-inspired hot sauces (“Link Juice”).
Over the long term, we are working to build the toolset for inbound marketing and GTM. Onward!
