Malaysia says its ships cleared to transit Strait of Hormuz
——
Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced today that he had spoken with leaders from Iran, Egypt, Turkiye, and other countries in the region, adding that Malaysian ships are now permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a televised speech, Anwar expressed gratitude to Iran’s president for allowing Malaysian vessels to transit.

"We are now in the process of releasing the Malaysian oil tankers and the workers involved so that they may continue their journey home," he said.

Anwar noted that his discussions with Iran and other nations were part of broader efforts to help promote peace in West Asia.

"But it is not easy, as Iran feels it has been deceived repeatedly and ‌finds it difficult to accept steps toward peace without a clear and binding security guarantee for their nation," he said.

My grandfather told me this: Do what’s necessary, not what’s comfortable. The gap between your goals and your reality is filled with painful, boring work. Most people avoid it, which is why it’s so valuable. Master the ordinary to create the extraordinary.
