I recently came across data on who we spend our time with over the course of our lives.
The insights are simultaneously inspiring and depressing.
Here are 6 graphs everyone needs to see:
If you’re like “I don’t know anyone who’s had an abortion” what you’re actually saying is:
“No one I know trusts me enough to tell me about their abortion”
Pre-Roe, I was 8 yrs old. I came home from school to find my Mom lying in a puddle of blood. She was weak & asked me to call a neighbor. She was miscarrying, but the embryo would not abort. For 48 hours, she bled while doctors transfused blood, waiting. Abortions were illegal.
“That’s just my opinion” he said after saying something offensive, not realizing that a person’s thoughts, opinions, and actions are actually the only valid basis for judging someone.
If I see one more entry level job requiring “3-5 years of recruiting experience” .... where do you expect this experience to come from?? When I was 7 I found this girl pretty and asked her to be on my soccer team and she turned out to be really good. Does that count??
Depression is crazy because If you don’t actively combat it daily you’ll find yourself a week after having the best week of your life laying on the floor for two hours wondering why you can’t get up
