Today, work took me via a station JOYFULLY, unexpectedly renewed: Hanwell, west London. Here @TfL’s Crossrail team, @RailwayHeritage & more have collaborated to restore & upgrade the GWR’s structures of 1877... once on @HistoricEngland’s “At Risk” list. They glow. Terrific work.

@EalingOne Interesting assertion that traffic will never ‘evaporate’. I thought all the evidence from decades of research is that road traffic demand is elastic to supply? interested in other views. You can, I hope, be opposed to implementation of a specific LTN without being anti-science.
@MarlowDonkey@Crossrail@networkrail@elizabethline@TfLRail Lots going on two lifts being installed, public realm improvements and hopefully improving the tired looking facade too. So yes is a shame and surprise not to have a drop in. TfL and Crossrail have come to community meetings in past, so not sure why haven’t organised another.
