@Alex343@GreGor_2424 Not me beating UW at locals final yesterday with my $60 dimir bounce list. Even ignored Jace when it came down both games. It was a quick 2-0, it wasn't even close.
I do want 2-3 Jace for a different brew tho so fuck!~ Maybe I get lucky and theres a couple in my delayed boxes
@hinamib6iq Y'all are sleeping on Inoue. Her power can literally rewrite reality. Even Android 18 and the death note will probably not be able to bypass that.
@_Applecar_@gazmon48 Oh yeah those suck, but play enough games and you will realize that with proper deck building this will not happen very often. You will still need to mull ever now and then to ensure a decent starting hand, but the mulligan rules are so generous that it rarely even feels bad.
@fervidexx@MaffiMTG@gazmon48 FoW has been the only game I've ever played that ever did something interesting to iterate on the land system. You still have variance in your resource generation from color production, some "lands" will have unique effects, and getting a resource has an opportunity cost.
@HeyzeusTCG@gazmon48 Lands are not inconsequential at every junction of the game, hell they are not inconsequential at most junctions of the game unless you are playing aggro, and even then you are accepting that as a downside for your strategy. Its drawing exclusively lands or no lands that is bad.
@on_jonesy@amoeba_irl@gazmon48 Its not, if any card is a resource, then none of them are. You are just one step above hearthstone's auto +1 mana every turn. There is very little gained in design space or interesting play patterns from just using a random card in hand as a resource.
@whiffypenguin@Alexe525@TeeCGGaming The real resource is ygo is each card itself, which is why card draw is heavily restricted in the game or it comes with incredible downsides.
@ItsShoTaimu@whiffypenguin@TeeCGGaming The game design is also just good, resource ststem included, even if its not perfect. I've played a great deal if different TCGs and very few are even in the dame ballpark as MTG. And this is coming from someone that started MTG only 2 years ago.
@grimgringunner@whiffypenguin@TeeCGGaming Maybe, but as someone that has played a large variety if TCGs over the last 15 years and only started with magic 2 years ago I can say that Magic is among the best design I've seen on a game system, if not the best outright.
@ScratchTheGrey@NazisKindaSuck@RAAAAAAAAATH The ones with interpersonal issues are the ones that bitch and moan about interaction. Getting your things removed hurts but its part of the game, laugh it off and keep playing mate its not that deep.
@BubblegumDrgn@infernoman64 Facts, at least when it comes to a big portion of the commander player base. Remove their thing? They cry about it. Attack them? They cry about it. And I don't mean in a fun banter kind of way.
Ofc it doesn't apply to everyone, but its way too common.
@vissykilldozer@pirudes@haderachdingus This is super human even in One Piece, simply training will not get you to this level. Its traning + real combat experience + a dream/goal to follow.
