Lessons from Brazil & Serbia Elections
Brazil has 130 million registered voters. They went to elect their President yesterday & the results were out immediately polls closed! No other country in the world does what Brazil does. President Lula, 80, was re-elected for record 4th time. His campaign recommitment is to end Corruption, Impunity & Militias (goons). And Lula kept his previous election promises.
In Serbia, university students formed only two months ago, its political party called Studentska lista (student List). The students in yesterday’s elections, defeated the party of strongman Vucic that was formed 18 years ago! There are indications the students will choose their university professor, Srdanovic to be the new leader of Serbia.
Therefore, winning elections isn’t about the age of the Party or of the Party’s Presidential candidate. It is, who resonates with the voters!
@WilliamsRuto I was diagnosed with cancer soon after you were declared president. I have always wondered whether there is a link. Before I die, I want to know, how much money and land do you need, and how much suffering do you want to inflict on Kenyans before you die?
"Maono Hatuna...Akili Hatuna..Agenda Hatuna..Kura Ndio Tuko Nazo Na Hatukupatii..Usikuje Kutupigia Makelele Kwa Ma Rally Ukituambia Hatuna Akili..Tushajua Hatuna Ata Kura Usituombe "
SIFUNA was ejected from the powerful Senate County Public Accounts Committee (CPAC) because he worked absolutely well minus corruption. His oversight work is a matter of public record but because you are arrogant and disconnected you imagine Kenyans do not know who SIFUNA is. ⚖️
Presenters from Milele and Kameme FM, led by Muthoni wa Kirumba, called former President Uhuru Kenyatta live on air and on camera to wish him a happy birthday.
Tony Gachoka says KANU chairman Gideon Moi fully backs Edwin Sifuna’s presidential bid and plans to contest the Baringo gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election.
I don’t know if those who are categorical that there can be no miracles in elections are following the happenings in Serbia and Brazil. Im super encouraged for 2027 because we in Kenya pray to the same God. Inshallah we get ours too.
Unpopular opinion about @AdrianOluoch
He made very terrible mistakes the last couple of weeks...He doesn't know or understand the rough and tumble of politics yet. (He's a young man) who wants to impress a few ladies here and there and maybe get laid.(totally understandable)
Babu patel took advantage of his naivety and exploited as any politician would do. This was unfortunate, Adrian is a young talent that can still be salvaged from all this.
First he has to publicly apologise, know his role in LMM and publicly disown Patel and say his leader is Sifuna and patel tried to con him and he now knows better...
After that Abbie and core should add him back to the group and REMOVE him again for being stupid and NAIVE.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Most of us Luos supporting Sifuna are not looking for anything in return. We are not asking for positions, nominations, money or favours. We support him because we believe in his principles, his leadership and what he stands for.
However, nobody should use the Luo community to advance personal interests. If you want to be nominated through TEP, you must first be a genuine party member. You cannot force your way into positions, ignore party membership requirements, and then, when asked to provide your membership number, turn around and claim that Luos are not wanted.
Kenya has many political parties, and everyone is free to choose where they belong. If TEP is not your party, you are free to join another one. But you cannot disregard the rules of a party and then turn your personal frustrations into an ethnic issue.
Our support for Sifuna is based on conviction, not personal gain. We believe in his principles, his vision and the leadership he represents. We are committed to Sifuna and TEP because of what they stand for, not because we expect to be rewarded with positions.
If you have personal differences with anyone, deal with them as an individual. Do not drag the entire Luo community into your personal battles. Your personal ambitions are not the voice of the Luos, and your frustrations should not be used to misrepresent our commitment to Sifuna and TEP. We know why we are here, and we remain focused on what we believe in.
