An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
Bank employees work tirelessly to keep the nation’s financial system moving. It is time to recognize their contribution and provide a healthier work-life balance. We strongly demand the implementation of 5 Days Banking-a fair, & much-awaited step for bankers.#5DayWeekAndFairPLI
They call it “Performance Linked Incentive.” We call it “POSITION Linked Incentive.”
Scale I–III: demonetisation at midnight, Jan Dhan in villages, Mudra, KCC, APY, PMJJBY, one customer, one form, one target at a time. And the reward? 15 days’ pay.
Meanwhile, Scale IV & above can get up to 360 days’ basic pay.
360 vs 15.
If this is “performance,” perhaps the real qualification is simply POSITION.
Same bank. Same targets. Same storm.
But apparently, only some are rowing.

A parliamentary question to the policy makers: If a bank performs above 80%, why must 20% of its officers receive zero #PLI ? And if employees accepted longer daily hours, why must all Saturdays remain pending? This is not reform; it is administrative arithmetic without human fairness. Government must stop forced ranking and honour.

COMMITMENT MADE? THEN WHERE IS THE IMPLEMENTATION?
➡️ 5-Day Banking: Honour the commitment.
➡️ Unilateral PLI: Put it on hold. Withdraw the discriminatory framework.
➡️ PLI: Dialogue, not diktat. Rework it through meaningful bilateral discussions
➡️ Residual issues: Resolve them. No more indefinite delay.
A commitment demands implementation.
Implementation demands accountability.
📢 ONE VOICE. ONE PLATFORM. ONE UNITED DEMAND.

@fboioa_india@aiboc_in The demand for a five-day banking week by bank employees is driven by the need for a better work-life balance, increased productivity, improved customer service, alignment with global work practices, and reduced stress levels. Implement 5 Days Bank &a fair PLI #5DayWeekAndFairPLI
India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

Alert: Govt Discovers a New Species—PSB Bankers!
🦾 Work 24/7, never get tired!
👨👩👧👦 Have families? Irrelevant!
💊 Stress, BP, heart issues? Just part of the job!
📅 Want weekends off? How dare they!
🔹 SEBI, NABARD, EXIM, STATE, CENTRAL, LIC, RBI, EPFO—5-day Workweek.
🔹 PSB Officers? Get ready for unpaid overtime, endless pressure & policy-driven exploitation.
𝗚𝗼𝘃𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰:
💰 Record Profits? Credit the System.
📉 Losses? Blame the Bankers.
⚠️ Security for Money, but not for Staff.
Bankers are good enough to implement schemes, push Financial Inclusion & Handle Crises—but not good enough for basic Dignity, Work-Life Balance, or Job Security.
📢 5DayBanking isn’t a luxury. It’s about survival. But hey, who cares? Bankers don’t have lives, only targets!
We sanctioned dreams for others but couldn’t witness our own children’s first steps. Is work our only identity? Do we not deserve a life too? #UnitedWeStand

Most government organizations in India already follow a 5-day workweek, and nations like Japan and the UK are transitioning to a 4-day workweek. In this scenario, implementing 5-day banking is essential to support Digital India. @FinMinIndia#UnitedWeStand
