🚨📸 PICTURED: The LNER train driver praised as a hero for keeping the train running to Huntingdon has been named as Iraq War veteran Andrew Johnson
Johnson spent 17 years in the Royal Navy and was deployed to Iraq in 2003 before becoming a train driver in 2018
This is the wrong decision.
We will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets.

“There is no offence of blasphemy in our law. Burning a Koran may be an act that many Muslims find desperately upsetting and offensive. The criminal law, however, is not a mechanism that seeks to avoid people being upset, even grievously upset. The right to freedom of expression, if it is a right worth having, must include the right to express views that offend, shock or disturb.” ✔️✔️✔️

Honour to be called to the Bar of England and Wales @middletemple yesterday. A day I’ve dreamed of since I was 14 and one I’ll never forget. With pupillage in full swing this was a brilliant moment to reflect on my journey to this point!
Delighted to have passed all of my Bar exams this week! All clear to commence pupillage with @GovernmentLegal. I decided at 14 that I wanted to be a barrister, yet I doubted at every point since then that it would ever happen and here we are. Anything is possible.
@WalkerMarcus This is a standard part of LegalCheek’s website. Worth noting for context that accessing the Bar from outside Oxbridge has been almost impossible for many years. This merely shows that brilliant candidates who attended other unis passed the rigorous recruitment process.
@PFarmbrough We should also be signposting young people to charities like the Scouts or Cadets who offer DofE often at far cheaper rates than schools can!
