DEADLINE EXTENDED 📣 You now have until Sunday Nov 12, 12pm EST. We know you're very busy & hope 3 extra days, especially over the weekend, help ensure you finish your #TAGC24 submissions. Complete your open one or start one if you haven't. Submit now: https://t.co/QxNRFsm93D
Don't wait until the last minute!! Submit your abstract for #TAGC24 ASAP so you can be sure not to miss out on the fun. More organisms = More fun science. You can also be sure that your favorite fly pals are there too. Encourage everyone to submit abstracts before Nov 9 deadline.
@peiferlabunc @meganbrienne There will be many Drosophila-specific sections that are similar to all your favorites, but in addition there will be multi-organism talks on these topics as well. Overall, my sense is the chance of getting selected for a talk is similar, if not better, than other fly meetings.
Delighted to celebrate @BMC_UW associate professor Peter Lewis, Hanns Kuttner Professorship inaugural recipient for his stellar teaching & trailblazing research. The professorship honors the leadership & service of Hanns Kuttner, husband of late Chancellor Emerita Rebecca Blank.
Are you ready to present your science to a unified community of scientists from all over the world? 🗺️ #TAGC24's abstract submission deadline is near. You may feel overwhelmed with the process, but you've got this! Find answers to your questions online: https://t.co/QxNRFsm93D
Abstract submission is open for #TAGC24 March 6-10 at National Harbor, Washington, DC. Come to see old friends, make new connections, spark fresh ideas and explore new findings. Don't miss out on the broad diversity of exciting topics. There's something for everyone.
If you missed their talks or just want to rewatch them, the seminars from @snaqvi1990 and @harrisonflylab are now up on our youtube channel!

Are you confused/intrigued about pioneer TFs? Interesting viewpoint discussion on pTFs by the leaders in the field:
-What are pTF?
-What do they do?
-How to study pTF?
-Can we classify pTFs?
-Are they context dependent?
-Does chromatin affect pTF activity?

It has been such fun working with @BSarah232 and the rest of the @BrayLabCam learning these powerful techniques. Check out the insights that can be gained by leveraging the distinctive salivary glands in Drosophila.
I'm proud to share our new pre-print! In the @BrayLabCam we've used Single Molecule tracking to study the dynamics of transcription factor CSL in #drosophila salivary glands. We show increased local exploration near targets in response to #Notch signaling!
