@LouiseDaySLT Sometimes all you need is someone to acknowledge that what you’re feeling is valid and it is as bad as you are feeling it. Acknowledgment of pain is peaceful in its own way.
@LouiseDaySLT It’s such a taboo to talk about your struggles if you have a neurodivergent child. Everyone is only focussing on the enhanced abilities. Shouldn’t inclusion mean talking openly about the pain so that you find more people in same situation as you and relate?
@david_perell So relieved to learn this. Unconsciously I have been doing this at work by coping email structures from good emails I receive and also the bad ones where I feel I’m never doing that.
@creepydotorg Then Josie shouldn’t drink , or Josie shouldn’t hook up with anyone when she knows she’s drinking.
Who is to decide who consented or not and at what point?
This whole scenario is messed up.
Everybody talks about skills , money, productivity and efficiency.
But do you know what matters the most?
What drives everything?
Emotions
Pain
No one talks about it
No one hears it.
It’s boring.
@ramit I love the question you ask @ramit :
What is your rich life?
Didn’t understand it and didn’t have an answer for it when I first heard it.
But now I do. It’s clear to me what I want.
